The GitHub Recent Bugs Dataset for Evaluating LLM-based Debugging Applications
Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated strong natural language
processing and code synthesis capabilities, which has led to their rapid
adoption in software engineering applications. However, details about LLM
training data are often not made public, which has caused concern as to whether
existing bug benchmarks are included. In lieu of the training data for the
popular GPT models, we examine the training data of the open-source LLM
StarCoder, and find it likely that data from the widely used Defects4J
benchmark was included, raising the possibility of its inclusion in GPT
training data as well. This makes it difficult to tell how well LLM-based
results on Defects4J would generalize, as for any results it would be unclear
whether a technique's performance is due to LLM generalization or memorization.
To remedy this issue and facilitate continued research on LLM-based SE, we
present the GitHub Recent Bugs (GHRB) dataset, which includes 76 real-world
Java bugs that were gathered after the OpenAI data cut-off point
Erratum: Dirichlet Forms and Dirichlet Operators for Infinite Particle Systems: Essential Self-adjointness
We reprove the essential self-adjointness of the Dirichlet operators of
Dirchlet forms for infinite particle systems with superstable and
sub-exponentially decreasing interactions.Comment: This is an erratum to the work appeared in J. Math. Phys. 39(12),

Trends and Associated Factors of Use of Opioid, Heroin, and Cannabis Among Patients for Emergency Department Visits in Nevada: 2009–2017
To examine trends and contributing factors of opioid, heroin, and cannabis-associated emergency department (ED) visits in Nevada. The 2009 to 2017 Nevada State ED database (n = 7,950,554 ED visits) were used. Use of opioid, heroin, and cannabis, respectively, was identified by the International Classification of Diseases, 9th & 10th Revisions. Three multivariable models, one for each of the 3 dependent variables, were conducted. Independent variables included year, insurance status, race/ethnicity, use of other substance, and mental health conditions. The number of individuals with opioid, heroin, cannabis-associated ED visits increased 3%, 10%, and 23% annually from 2009 to 2015, particularly among 21 to 29 age group, females, and African Americans. Use of other substance (odds ratio [OR] = 3.91; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 3.84, 3.99; reference - no use of other substance), mental health conditions (OR = 2.48; 95% CI = 2.43, 2.53; reference – without mental health conditions), Medicaid (OR = 1.41; 95% CI = 1.38, 1.44; reference – non-Medicaid), Medicare (OR = 1.44; 95% CI = 1.39, 1.49; reference – non-Medicare) and uninsured patients (OR = 1.52; 95% CI = 1.49, 1.56; reference - insured) were predictors of all three substance-associated ED visits. With a steady increase in trends of opioid, heroin, and cannabis-associated ED visits in recent years, the main contributing factors include patient sociodemographic factors, mental health conditions, and use of other substances
Electroactive shape memory performance of polyurethane composite having homogeneously dispersed and covalently crosslinked carbon nanotubes
The electroactive shape memory of carbon nanotube-filled polyurethane composites, prepared by conventional blending, in situ and cross-linking polymerization, is studied in terms of the dispersion of the tubes The covalently bonded tubes are homogeneously dispersed within the polyurethane by introducing carboxyl groups on the sidewall of the tubes and selecting a cross-linking polymerization method The resultant composites, which have 92% shape retention and 95% shape recovery, are expected to be used as preferential materials in various actuatorsArticleCARBON. 48(5):1598-1603 (2010)journal articl
Clinical relevance of ground glass opacity in 105 patients with miliary tuberculosis
SummaryBackgroundAfter the application of chest computed tomography (CT), ground glass opacity (GGO) was introduced as one of major accompanying findings of miliary tuberculosis (MT) in addition to miliary nodules. However, little is known about whether GGO is associated with the clinical manifestations and outcomes of MT. Therefore, the present study examined the clinical relevance of GGO in patients with MT.MethodsChest radiographs and CT scans of MT patients were retrospectively reviewed. Clinical manifestations and outcomes were compared in terms of the extent of GGO revealed by chest CT.ResultsConfirmed 105 MT patients were included. GGO was observed in 70 (67%) patients. MT patients with an extent of GGO >50% (n = 21) had symptoms of shorter duration, more frequent dyspnea, and more pronounced changes in the levels of acute phase reactants. Miliary nodules were less discernible on CT in those with an extent of GGO >50%. MT patients with an extent of GGO >50% were significantly associated with a longer hospital stay (p = 0.02) and with acute respiratory failure (p < 0.001) than those with an extent of GGO ≤50%. However, mortality among MT patients was not associated with the extent of GGO.ConclusionMT patients with an extent of GGO >50% had more rapidly progressive manifestations and a greater potential for delayed diagnosis and poorer prognosis. Nevertheless, mortality was not higher in confirmed MT patients with an extent of GGO >50% than in those with an extent of GGO ≤50%
