PID and Novel Approach of PI Fuzzy Logic Controllers for Active Surge in Centrifugal Compressor
Fuzzy logic approach applied to the surge detection and isolation in centrifugal compressor
A study of Huijgens' synchronization : experimental results
The paper presents experimental results aimed at better understanding of the Huygens’ phenomenon. The experimental setup consists of two metronomes attached to a bar that can move horizontally. Different types of oscillations that can be observed during the experiments are discussed
A study of controlled synchronization of Huijgens' pendula
In this paper we design a controller for synchronization problem for two pendula suspended on an elastically supported rigid beam. A relation to Huijgens’ experiments as well as the practical motivation are emphasized
Controlled synchronisation of continuous PWA systems
In this paper, the controlled synchronisation problem for identical continuouspiecewise affine (PWA) systems is addressed. Due to the switching nature ofthese systems, strategies common for controlled synchronisation can not beused. In this paper, an observer-based output-feedback control design solvingthe master-slave synchronisation problem for two PWA systems is proposed. The design of these dynamic controllers is based on the idea of, onthe one hand, rendering the slave system convergent by means of feedback(which makes all its solutions converge to each other) and, on the other hand, guaranteeing that the closed-loop slave system has a bounded solution correspondingto zero synchronisation error. This implies that all solutions ofthe closed-loop slave system converge to this bounded solution with zero synchronisationerror. The results are illustrated by application to a master-slavesynchronisation problem of two mechanical systems with one-sided restoringcharacteristics
