Ética, alfabetización económica e información como fundamentos de las 'sociedades resilientes' del siglo XXI

Las bibliotecas han afrontado en los últimos años el envite de la crisis y los recortes presupuestarios. Las competencias económicas e informacionales son elementos fundamentales para la superación de estas situaciones de crisis y tragedias potenciales. Aquella competencia o capacidad de hacer frente a una crisis y ser capaz de superarla es lo que se denomina resiliencia. La ética en el uso y tratamiento de la información, complementado por una adecuada alfabetización económica, es la propuesta aquí defendida para la conformación de las 'sociedades resilientes' del siglo XXI. Tras una introducción multidisciplinar, abogando por la necesidad de la recuperación de la ética en el conjunto de todas las profesiones, se analiza el concepto de resiliencia, para dotarlo de contenido y significado. Resiliencia se convierte en el elemento nuclear de muchas de las políticas actualmente implementadas en la Comunidad Europea. Este naciente 'mantra de desarrollo' de la resiliencia promete la recuperación de las potencialidades frente a una crisis eventual y la renovación reforzada con mejores perspectivas que antes de la misma. Dada la relativa ambigüedad y todavía escasa aplicación del concepto de resiliencia en general para el conjunto de la sociedad, exploramos la triada propuesta (ética-economía-información) que nos puede conducir a la resiliencia. Entender estos tres elementos en modo integral puede permitir a la biblioteca y al profesional de la información poder participar en modo adecuado en esta tarea de la resiliencia sea a nivel local como, potencialmente, también en modo global

The challenge for economics from the new 'digital' economy: sharing and collaborative economy through the 'platforms neocapitalism' of the 21st century

The so-called collaborative or sharing economy constitutes a multifaceted concept of increasing relevance and evolving in definition that will constitute the focus of our study. This article is presented methodologically as a macro-synthesis of the main trends of the economy, from its local and global spheres, in the convergence that can be glimpsed from the new phenomenon that we are dealing with of neo-capitalism based essentially on digital platforms and media. Some have already advanced it as turbo-capitalism or capitalism 3.0, in increasing expansion from the analysis of massive data from digital platforms. The resulting greater efficiency of decentralization and heterogeneity can be exploited by communities. We claim the need to support the constitution of public support that can constitute the response of the government to the multiple new challenges posed by what we are calling as 'platform neocapitalism', which dilutes countries in a planetary and accelerated scale, unimaginable at the beginning of the present 21st century

A Need for a Paradigm Shift in the Spanish Banking Sector? The Evolution from Regional to Multinational Banks in Spain.

Since the approval of Spain¿s 2012 National Budget on March 30, 2012, some doubts and controversies have added up to many fears in the private sector regarding the measures and stimuli that the Spanish government was going to undertake. At the same time, this situation was in some measure aggravated by the financial backlog of many small and medium companies, which are and will continue, in the following years to be completely unable to comply with their financial requirements. In line with Boronat Ombuena¿s (2009a, 2009b, 2010, 2012) requirements in his new approach to finance and private sector liaisons, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the recent years of the credit sector in Spain as well as its direct and mid-term effects that its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) have contributed up to date, and will still produce in the near future. We will take a closer look at the evolution of the banking sector in Spain from 1995 to 2012 through a historically-based methodology, compiling and synthesizing the existing financial and risk market information and analyzing its evolution. We shall observe that in a single year, the total number of savings banks in Spain decreased from 45 to only 15 entities and that the risks the financial system took over these last few years were not equally distributed across the entities, resulting in an advanced foreclosure of the regional savings banks and in a market-share growth for the commercial banking entities. This process has resulted in creating larger entities and, in some cases, a vacuum of regional and local credit entities that in the mid-long term will eventually end up in a representative loss on credit availability. These circumstances call into question the need for a paradigm change and most importantly, new approaches to solve the new challenges that can result in the financial fluidity of the system and the eventual recovery of the economic structure

Ranking-based Ties Social Networks : an illustration based on a system of Fashion Capital Cities in the world.

Our paper aims to apply a non-conventional Social Network Analysis to a network generated from an initial sorting of data with mere order. The aim is to test whether and how one relationship set 'conveniently' generated by the ranking is able to provide a coherent system of interactions with possible practical and theoretical utility. We consider a system of city distributions where we focus on ¿Ranking-Based Ties¿ social networks, considering a system of 'objects' of the same class that would be able to interact. The objects in question are ordered according to their 'performance' in a particular ranking. According to a survey developed by Global Language Monitor, there is a ranked number for every capital that could be considered important among the world's most fashionable cities. Using the rank of scoring average we construct a fashion cities network in order to analyze the dynamics and the topology of the system following a gradual process of clustering or densification of relationships consistent with key network statistics analysis

La elección del tema y la elaboración del proyecto de TFG (Trabajo Fin de Grado). Principios esenciales para una adecuada elección del tema y presentación de una propuesta de trabajo TFG

El documento es resultante de la participación del autor en los siguientes Proyectos de Innovación Educativa de la Universitat de València, programa DocenTIC (UVSFPIE_DOCE12-80998, UV-SFPIE_DOCE14-222424 y UV-SFPIE_RMD15-314447)El trabajo de final de grado (TFG) es el último trabajo que debe realizar el/la estudiante para obtener el título de Grado. Este tutorial pretende orientar al estudiante en la elección del tema y elaboración de la propuesta de trabajo TFG. En el TFG hay demostrar que se han adquirido las capacidades y habilidades suficientes para afrontar el reto de ser un profesional en la materia de su grado, para ello se remite a la guía docente de TFG de cada uno de los grados correspondientes. A modo de ejemplo, podemos considerar una estructura tentativa como la que propone la Facultad de Economía de la Universidad de Valencia

El caso del municipio de Quart de Poblet (Valencia) transitando hacia un modelo de Ciudad Inteligente y Sostenible

El Ayuntamiento de Quart de Poblet transita hacia un modelo de Ciudad Inteligente y Sostenible, en la línea de los novedosos modelos de innovación urbana de las Smart Cities. Este camino se inició con la preparación de un proyecto para la solicitud de Fondos Europeos para el desarrollo regional, englobado bajo el nombre de “Estrategia para el desarrollo urbano sostenible integrado 2015-2022 (EDUSI) de Quart de Poblet”. Este documento resume y esquematiza el intenso trabajo realizado en el conocimiento de la ciudad a través de un pormenorizado análisis y diagnóstico. En primer lugar, con el conocimiento profundo de la ciudad, de su sistema urbano y sus elementos, analizando a su vez la interacción existente entre los diferentes actores políticos. Incorporando al diagnóstico de Quart de Poblet las distintas perspectivas que le influencian; desde su entorno físico y socioeconómico, la situación demográfica y medioambiental, y, por otro lado, la prospectiva de la gobernanza local y el crecimiento inteligente. Pretendiendo a su vez, detectar los factores de innovación que tiene la población que favorecen poder convertirse en una Ciudad Inteligente y Sostenible, teniendo en cuenta el trabajo avanzado y desarrollado desde la EDUSI de Quart de Poblet. Posteriormente se presenta un esquema del diseño y avance de la estratégica del Plan Director Vivo de Smart City de la población, donde se pretende definir una base de conocimiento y una metodología al alcance de todos los actores implicados, en modo que puedan ser capaces de hacer evolucionar el Plan Director, ajustándose a las variaciones futuras de las necesidades y de los nuevos retos potenciales a afrontar por este municipio.Quart de Poblet City Council is moving towards a Smart and Sustainable City model, in line with the new urban innovation models of Smart Cities. This path began with the preparation of a project for the application of European Funds for regional development, encompassed under the name of "Strategy for integrated sustainable urban development 2015-2022 (EDUSI) of Quart de Poblet". This document summarizes and outlines the intense work carried out in the knowledge of the city through a detailed analysis and diagnosis. In the first place, with in-depth knowledge of the city, its urban system and its elements, in turn analyzing the interaction among the different political actors. Incorporating the diagnosis of Quart de Poblet the different perspectives that influence it; from its physical and socio-economic environment, the demographic and environmental situation, and, on the other hand, the prospect of local governance and smart growth. Attempting, in turn, to detect the innovation factors that the population has that favor being able to become a Smart and Sustainable City, taking into account the advanced work developed by the EDUSI of Quart de Poblet. Subsequently, an outline of the design and progress of the strategy of the Smart City Living Master Plan of the population is presented, where it is intended to define a knowledge base and a methodology reaching all the actors involved, so that they may be able to do evolve the Master Plan, adjusting to future variations in needs and new potential challenges to be faced by this municipality

Vida más allá del PowerPoint: Un esfuerzo por superar la presente involución tecnológica de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje hacia prácticas docentes pretéritas retrotraídas

La tradicional clase magistral se ha vestido o disfrazado, en el marco de la revolución digital, con tecnología para convertirse, en la pràctica, en una versión más cara y compleja, con grandes costes para los centros de enseñanza y universidades. Sigue siendo una lectura comentada por el profesor donde el alumno no tiene un papel activo, ya que es el profesor el que se considera que tiene el conocimiento, y trabaja. Los alumnos pueden preguntar si se considera necesario, ahora el estudiante no necesita ya tomar apuntes siquiera, las diapositivas de las editoriales carecen casi de erratas… Se propone con este poster dar un salto cualitativo siguiendo metodologías del mundo anglosajón para plantear presentaciones adecuadas a los objetivos de enseñanza-aprendizaje propuestos en las guías docentes, donde el alumno participe activamente, tenga un papel protagonista o central, y pueda recibir feedback o retroalimentación tanto del profesor como de sus propios compañeros en el tiempo de clase, facilitando un aprendizaje integral y promoviendo el pensamiento crítico. Nuestra aportación consiste en aportar un esfuerzo por superar la presente involución tecnológica de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje hacia prácticas docentes pretéritas retrotraídas, desde una perspectiva crítica y de aprendizaje integral.Traditional old fashion class, lecture style, today has been dressed with technology at the digital age to become, in practice, a more expensive and complex version of a lecture, with expensive costs for schools and universities. It is still a reading commented by the teacher where students do not have an active role, since the teacher works, as he is considered to have the knowledge. Students could ask if it is considered necessary, and students do not even need to take notes as the slides from professional editors have no mistakes or errors. It is proposed in this poster to make a qualitative leap following methodologies of the Anglo-Saxon world to suggest presentations appropriate to the objectives of teaching-learning proposed in the teaching guides. Student should actively participate, it plays a leading or central role, and they would be able to receive feedback from both the teacher and their classmates during class time, facilitating a comprehensive learning and promoting a critical thinking learning. Learning outcomes in the field of human resource management in business administration studies in the context of implementation of European Qualifications Framework (EQF) - examples from University of Valencia, Spain, and University of Dubrovnik, Croatia

[EN] The study carried out in this paper involves the analysis of the content of the competencies in the field of human resource management in business administration studies, one of the key areas of contemporary management, with examples from the Departament of Economics and Business Economics of the University of Dubrovnik (Croatia) and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia (Spain). The study may be a contribution to better alignement and compatibility between study programs of economics and management in the countries and beyond. In order to get answers to the research questions, the paper analyzes the learning outcomes of the two observed universities
