In this work, the Photoacoustic Spectroscopy was employed to evaluate in vivo the penetration rate of three different sunscreens into the human skin. The results showed the reduction of the sunscreens amount in the skin surface as a function of time, the depth profile, and also permitted to discriminate the penetration rates of the products, which was done through an statistical treatment of the data. The results of this work reinforce the ability of the photoacoustic spectroscopy for “in vivo” measurements
