Influence de colorants dissous sur le point de clarification de phases nématiques

Guest-host systems with pleochroic dyes are important for some types of liquid crystal displays. This work reports the influence of the properties of dyes in solution on the clearing point. The nematic phases used were : CB-7, PCH-7 and ZLI-1083, a ternary eutectic of PCH-3, PCH-5 and PCH-7. The dyes investigated were four anthraquinone derivatives. The influence of the dyes on the clearing behaviour is discussed and correlated with the order parameter of the dyes in the nematic phase.Les systèmes « guest-host » dopés avec des colorants dichroïques sont importants pour certains types d'afficheurs. Ce travail rapporte l'influence des propriétés des colorants dissous sur le comportement de clarification. Les phases nématiques suivantes ont été choisies : CB-7, PCH-7 et ZLI-1083, un mélange eutectique ternaire de PCH-3, PCH-5 et PCH-7; quatre dérivés anthraquinoniques ont été choisis comme colorants.
