    Momentum-dependence of charmonium spectral functions from lattice QCD

    We compute correlators and spectral functions for J/psi and eta_c mesons at nonzero momentum on anisotropic lattices with Nf=2. We find no evidence of significant momentum dependence at the current level of precision. In the pseudoscalar channel, the ground state appears to survive up to T~450MeV or 2.1T_c. In the vector channel, medium modifications may occur at lower temperatures.Comment: 5 pages, 12 figure

    Nonperturbative structure of the quark-gluon vertex

    The complete tensor structure of the quark--gluon vertex in Landau gauge is determined at two kinematical points (`asymmetric' and `symmetric') from lattice QCD in the quenched approximation. The simulations are carried out at beta=6.0, using a mean-field improved Sheikholeslami-Wohlert fermion action, with two quark masses ~ 60 and 115 MeV. We find substantial deviations from the abelian form at the asymmetric point. The mass dependence is found to be negligible. At the symmetric point, the form factor related to the chromomagnetic moment is determined and found to contribute significantly to the infrared interaction strength.Comment: 16 pages, 11 figures, JHEP3.cl

    Quark propagator in the Landau gauge

    The Landau gauge quark propagator in momentum space is investigated using the O(a)-improved Sheikholeslami-Wohlert quark action with a tree-level mean-field improved coefficient csw. We study the unimproved definition of the quark propagator, as well as two different tree-level O(a)-improved propagators. The ultraviolet behavior of the free lattice propagator is studied for each of these in order to establish which of them provides the most reliable description of the quark propagator up to the medium momentum regime. A general method of tree-level correction is introduced. This exploits asymptotic freedom and removes much of the trivial lattice artifacts at medium to high momenta. We obtain results for the quark propagator which are qualitatively similar to those typically used in quark models. A simple extrapolation of the infrared quark mass M(p2=0) to the chiral limit gives 298±8±30 MeV, which is consistent with phenomenological expectations
