Modeling of moving heat sources using meshless element free galerkin method
This article deals with the quasi stationary-state solution of the two-dimensional Rosenthal equation for a moving heat source using a meshless element free Galerkin method. Node-based moving least square approximants are used to approximate the unknown function of temperature. Essential boundary conditions are enforced by using Lagrange multipliers. The results are obtained for a two-dimensional model with a Gaussian surface moving heat source and compared with the results of the finite-element method.
