Extended analysis of the six-times ionized xenon, Xe VII

    No full text
The spectrum of six-times ionized xenon, Xe VII, has been studied in the 270-6,500 Ã… using a pulsed discharge. 110 new classified lines are reported. Ten levels belonging to the odd parity configurations and four belonging to the even configurations have been determined. To obtain the energy parameters Hartree-Fock relativistic calculations were used. Least-squares parametric calculation has been carried out to study the fit between experimental and theoretical values

New Transition and Energy Levels of Three-Times Ionized Krypton (Kr IV)

A capillary pulsed-discharge and a theta-pinch were used to record Kr spectra in the region of 330–4800 Å. A set of 168 transitions of these spectra were classified for the first time. We extended the analysis to twenty-five new energy levels belonging to 3s23p24d, 3s23p25d even configurations. We calculated weighted transition probabilities (gA) for all of the experimentally observed lines and lifetimes for new energy levels using a relativistic Hartree–Fock method, including core-polarization effects

Extended analysis of the Ar VII spectrum in the vacuum ultraviolet region

The analysis of the magnesium-like Ar VII spectrum was extended to include the 3s5s, 3s6d, 3p4p, 3s5p and 3p5s configurations, in the vacuum ultraviolet region. Sixty-six new transitions have been identified as transitions between the levels of the configurations stated above. Fifteen new levels were determined that belong to these configurations. Hartree-Fock calculations with relativistic corrections were used to predict energy levels, transitions and to support the experimental results

Extended analysis of the Kr V spectrum

The spectrum of four-times-ionized krypton (Kr V) has been observed in the 230-4900 angstrom wavelength range, resulting in 91 new classified lines. We were able to identify 21 new energy levels belonging to the 4s(2)4p5d, 4s(2)4p5s, 4s(2)4p6s, 4s(2)4p5p and 4s4p(2)4d configurations. Relativistic Hartree-Fock calculations were used to predict energy levels and transitions. (c) 2010 Elsevier Ltd.
