Inherent components of group life, conflicts include both positive and negative aspects from a psycho-social point of view. They can generate chaos and progress, separation and cohesion. More and more specialists believe that conflict management is as important as the other management functions. We can say that there is no organization without conflicts and no social group without disputes. The present paper tries to identify the modality in which conflicts are born, as well as to present various strategies of conflict resolution, on the basis of a cost analysis generated by conflicts at organizational level.conflict, dispute, resistance, opposition, hostility, organizational conflict

    THE INFLUENCE OF GLOBAL

The world economy is tripolar today, being dominated by the USA, the EU and Japan. Nevertheless, we must not disregard that China, India or Russia have a large economic and human potential and they incisively entered the economic competition altogether. For the time being, these countries represent regional or zonal powers and they started to play a commanding role together with the beginning of the international economic life. Organizations such as WTO or the UN offer, there is no doubt about it, an important chance to increase the contribution of the multilateral commercial system to reduce poverty and accomplish the objectives of human development. On the other hand, the practice of interstate relations demands an increased attention to the development of international trade, because from a developing and stability factor it can become a cause of instability and thus a cause of economic stagnation. The increased and accentuated interdependence of countries grew the importance of their external trade, which practically became indispensable for the economic and social growth. Moreover, the increase of national incomes in external trade led to increased consumption and increased the demand for energy and raw materials. This fact led, on one hand, to the amplification of exports and on the other hand to the increase of GDP in the developed countries. Adopting an open, impartial, rule-based, predictable and non-discriminatory commercial system may create a global partnership for development and visibly improve the international economic environment that has been severely affected by the current economic crisis. Despite the present context, the Asian developing economies bring their support substantially for the exit of the world economy from the gravest post-war crisis.globalization, economic potential, foreign commerce, financial crisis

Aspects of Economic Crisis and Globalization

The origin of the U.S. financial crisis has its foundation in the fact that commercial banks and investment banks lent vast sums- trillions of dollars-for housing purchases and consumer loans to borrowers ill-equipped to repay. The easy lending pushed up housing prices around the U.S., which then ratcheted still higher when speculators bought houses on the expectation of yet further price increases. When the easy lending slowed and then stopped during 2006-2007, the housing prices peaked and began to fall. The housing boom began to unravel and now threatens an economy-wide bust. The housing bubble started to burst in 2006, and the decline accelerated in 2007 and 2008. Housing prices stopped increasing in 2006, started to decrease in 2007, and have fallen about 25 percent from the peak so far. The decline in prices meant that homeowners could no longer refinance when their mortgage rates were reset, which caused delinquencies and defaults of mortgages to increase sharply, especially among subprime borrowers.economic crisis, globalisation, housing prices

    No full text
Change is considered, in more and more cases, an inevitable process and the development of an organization largely depends on how it reacts and adapts to transformations occurring. Change has both positive and negative aspects, it implies experiment and creation of something new and different, but it also means destruction of familiar facts and relationships. The implementation failure rate of organizational change remains high and one of the most common causes of this is considered to be the resistance to change. Although the resistance to change is considered a natural reaction, it is necessary to understand the causes and identify the measures for its reduction. Using content analysis of representative works, as a research method, we identified a number of factors that cause resistance to change and methods than can be used to decrease it, in order to successful implement the organizational change.
