Plasma Activated Synthesis of Macromolecular Compound

    Get PDF
The paper is devoted to study of the plasma-activated synthesis of organic compounds with optically activity. Synthesis was carried out in plasma-liquid system with a rotating gliding discharge submerged in a liquid. The initial reagents of synthesis were ethanol, ammonia, and CO2. The possibility of the influence of the electric field direction on the optical activity of the products of plasma-activated synthesis is shown

On the Issue of the Thermal Emission Cathode Resource on the Oxide Films of Hafnium and Zirconium

The article shows the results of research on the destruction of the thermionic cathode of an arc plasma torch when inserting hafnium and zirconium along the trace of the spot of a gas-discharge arc by means of electronic metallography with spectral analysis in the control region. The depth of penetration of the spot into the metal of the cathode insert was determined due to the discrete mechanism of action on the metal at the time of attachment. The erosion rate of zirconium oxide films was experimentally established, the extension of the operating life substantiated while mechanisms for its increase were revealed, and two types of arc contact with a hafnium or zirconium insert - the "contracted" and "diffused" ones - were offered. The theoretical operating life of the cathode is calculated

Experimental and Theoretical Investigation of Microdischarge Plasma in the Vortex Gas Flow

    Get PDF
Experimental studies of the electrical parameters of the microdischarge and the plasma of the microdischarge in the vortex flow of CO2 as the plasma-forming gas was carried out. The kinetics of the formation of some components of microwave plasma was considered using ZDPlasKin computer code and Bolsig+ at experimentally measured electric field strengths, pressure and gas temperature. The key reactions of microdischarge were determined. The Bolsig+ code was used to determine the mean energy of electrons

Nonequlibrium Plasma Chemistry for Concept of Sustainable Development

    Get PDF
This work is devoted to the exploration of the compatibility of the hybrid plasma-catalytic conversion of liquid hydrocarbons into syngas with the concept of sustainable development. The results of experimental investigations indicate the high efficiency of plasma-catalytic conversion of ethanol to syngas and the small amount of waste (a few percent of feedstock weight). The results of the simulation of the kinetics using ZDPlasKin code for thermochemical and hybrid plasma-catalytic conversion

The Rotating Gliding Discharge in Quartz Tube and Open Half-Space at Atmospheric Pressure

    Get PDF
Rotating sliding discharge (RGD) was investigated into limited volume and open half-space. The cur-rent-voltage characteristics of the discharge and its specifications are described. The results of optical research: photos and emission spectra of the discharge are presented
