Parametric resonance at the critical temperature in high energy heavy ion collisions
Parametric resonance in soft modes at the critical temperature () in
high energy heavy ion collisions is studied in the case when the temperature
() of the system is almost constant for a long time. By deviding the fields
into three parts, zero mode (condensate), soft modes and hard modes and
assuming that the hard modes are in thermal equilibrium, we derive the equation
of motion for soft modes at . Enhanced modes are extracted by
comparing with the Mathieu equation for the condensate oscillating along the
sigma axis at . It is found that the soft mode of fields at
about 174 MeV is enhanced.Comment: 8 pages, 1 figure Some statements and equations are modified to

Dilution Effects in Two-dimensional Quantum Orbital System
We study dilution effects in a Mott insulating state with quantum orbital
degree of freedom, termed the two-dimensional orbital compass model. This is a
quantum and two-dimensional version of the orbital model where the interactions
along different bond directions cause frustration between different orbital
configurations. A long-range correlation of a kind of orbital at each row or
column, termed the directional order, is studied by means of the quantum
Monte-Carlo method. It is shown that decrease of the ordering temperature due
to dilution is much stronger than that in spin models. Quantum effect enhances
the effective dimensionality in the system and makes the directional order
robust against dilution. We discuss an essential mechanism of the dilute
orbital systems.Comment: 5pages, 4 figure
Topology Change of Coalescing Black Holes on Eguchi-Hanson Space
We construct multi-black hole solutions in the five-dimensional
Einstein-Maxwell theory with a positive cosmological constant on the
Eguchi-Hanson space, which is an asymptotically locally Euclidean space. The
solutions describe the physical process such that two black holes with the
topology of S^3 coalesce into a single black hole with the topology of the lens
space L(2;1)=S^3/Z_2. We discuss how the area of the single black hole after
the coalescence depends on the topology of the horizon.Comment: 10 pages, Some comments are added. to be published as a letter in

Pre-K-Edge Structure on Anomalous X-Ray Scattering in LaMnO3
We study the pre-K-edge structure of the resonant X-ray scattering for
forbidden reflections (anomalous scattering) in LaMnO3, using the band
calculation based on the local density approximation. We find a two-peak
structure with an intensity approximately 1/100 of that of the main peak. This
originates from a mixing of 4p states of Mn to 3d states of neighboring Mn
sites. The effect is enhanced by an interference with the tail of the main
peak. The effect of the quadrupole transition is found to be one order of
magnitude smaller than that of the dipole transition, modifying slightly the
azimuthal-angle dependence.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figures, submitted to J. Phys. Soc. Jp
Parametric amplification with a friction in heavy ion collisions
We study the effects of the expansion of the system and the friction on the
parametric amplification of mesonic fields in high energy heavy ion collisions
within the linear model . The equation of motion which is similar to
Mathieu equation is derived to describe the time development of classical
fields in the last stage of a heavy ion collision after the freezeout time. The
enhanced mode is extracted analytically by comparison with Mathieu equation and
the equation of motion is solved numerically to examine whether soft modes will
be enhanced or not. It is found that the strong peak appears around 267 MeV in
the pion transverse momentum distribution in cases with weak friction and high
maximum temperature. This enhancement can be extracted by taking the ratio
between different modes in the pion transverse momentum distribution.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figures LaTeX: appendix adde
Kaluza-Klein Multi-Black Holes in Five-Dimensional Einstein-Maxwell Theory
We construct the Kaluza-Klein multi-black hole solutions on the
Gibbons-Hawking multi-instanton space in the five-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell
theory. We study geometric properties of the multi-black hole solutions. In
particular, unlike the Gibbons-Hawking multi-instanton solutions, each
nut-charge is able to take a different value due to the existence of black hole
on it. The spatial cross section of each horizon can be admitted to have the
topology of a different lens space L(n;1)=S^3/Z_n addition to S^3.Comment: 8 pages, to be published in Classical and Quantum Gravit
Randomly Diluted e_g Orbital-Ordered Systems
Dilution effects on the long-range ordered state of the doubly degenerate
orbital are investigated. Quenched impurities without the orbital degree
of freedom are introduced in the orbital model where the long-range order is
realized by the order-from-disorder mechanism. It is shown by the Monte-Carlo
simulation and the cluster-expansion method that a decrease in the orbital
ordering temperature by dilution is remarkable in comparison with that in the
randomly diluted spin models. Tiltings of orbitals around impurity cause this
unique dilution effects on the orbital systems. The present theory provides a
new view point for the recent experiments in KCuZnF.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
Resonant X-Ray Scattering from the Quadrupolar Ordering Phase of CeB_6
We theoretically investigate the origin of the resonant x-ray scattering
(RXS) signal near the Ce absorption edge in the quadrupolar ordering
phase of CeB, considering the intersite interaction between the
states in the initial state. The anisotropic charge distribution of the
states modulates the states through the intra-atomic Coulomb interaction
and thereby generates a large RXS superlattice intensity. The temperature and
magnetic field dependence indicates that the induced dipolar and octupolar
orders have little influence on the RXS spectra, in good agreement with the
recent experiment.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
Polarization Dependence of Anomalous X-ray Scattering in Orbital Ordered Manganites
In order to determine types of the orbital ordering in manganites, we study
theoretically the polarization dependence of the anomalous X-ray scattering
which is caused by the anisotropy of the scattering factor. The general
formulae of the scattering intensity in the experimental optical system is
derived and the atomic scattering factor is calculated in the microscopic
electronic model. By using the results, the X-ray scattering intensity in
several types of the orbital ordering is numerically calculated as a function
of azimuthal and analyzer angles.Comment: 9 pages, 7 figure
