Computational method for risk assessment of regional socio-economic development

    No full text
In this study, we present the computational method for risk assessment of the socio-economic development of regions. An attempt has been made to develop a method for the determination of integral risk indicators of socio-economic development based on the joint use of the methods of factor analysis and expert evaluation. This approach has increased the reliability of the calculations and made it possible to analyze the influence of socio-economic indicators on the risk level of socio-economic development. The integral risk indicator shows the effect of the inconsistency in the level of factor provision on the socio-economic development of the j-th region (district) in comparison with the general situation in the country (regions). The closer the value of integral risk indicator is to 1, the higher the level of risk in this region. Using Kyiv region districts as an example, the process of risk assessment for regional socio-economic development has been considered. The results obtained in this investigation demonstrate that the presented computational method solves the problem of formalization of risk assessment for the socio-economic development of regions

The price competition simulation at the trading market in the presence of electronic and traditional trade

In the present work, an attempt has been made to apply economic and mathematical methods for the simulation of electronic trading market operation based on price competition between e-trade companies and traditional trade enterprises. The developed price competition model based on the concept of symmetric product differentiation. The results obtained in the present investigation demonstrate that in a mixed strategy, firms sell products at different prices, depending on the price strategy or the volume release strategy. The company that sets the volume, sells more, but at a lower price than its competitor which sets prices. The influence of strategic output exceeds price influence. Thus, the company that sets prices, falls into an unfavorable situation and receives lower profits compared with its competitor with the strategy for the volume of production. The company that has decided to introduce electronic trading technology initially will bear losses

Features of learning motivation in the conditions of coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19)

This article has been retracted. Please see: Retraction of published article due to the author’s proposal - 6 August 2022   Maintaining motivation plays a special role during the introduction of distance learning in connection with the coronavirus epidemic. To analyze the features of motivation in different learning conditions, a graphic model of the student motivation has been presented. The effectiveness of the model was tested in both offline and online learning. The study showed that the influence of the main motivational components in the conditions of offline learning varies from primary school to higher education. The youngest students are best motivated to learn in a situation where the inner desire to learn something new is constantly supported by external stimulation. In primary school, the motivating influence of teachers and parents gradually decreases, but both the negative and positive influence of an important environment (friends, reference adults) increases. Adolescents have clearly defined learning goals. The impact of online learning on this category of students is quite controversial. The study has found mixed trends -- both an increase in motivation for learning and a sharp decrease. The first group is quietly moving to online learning, making extensive use of the Internet. The second either completely lose motivation to learn or shows unstable motivation, which either sharply decreases, then just as sharply increases

Computer simulation of processes that influence adolescent learning motivation

In order for the learning process to always retain personal value for the learner, it is necessary that his or her motivation be maintained through an awareness of his or her purpose and goals. This article presents a local model (at the individual object level) of enhancing external motivation, which give to determine students’ efforts to get rewards. The concept of this model based on describing the behavior of agents (in our case students). The characteristics of the phenomenon in the motivation of learning at different stages of adolescent development are analyzed. The problem of computer modeling of educational processes with the help of agent modeling on the example of studying student motivation is considered. Internal and external factors that may strengthen or weaken the adolescent’s motivation to study have been studied. The expediency of using information technologies of agent modeling to study the dynamics of strengthening or weakening student motivation is substantiated. Using the AnyLogic Cloud computing environment the change of dynamics of strengthening of motivation of teenagers on an example of model of strengthening of external motivation is defined
