Bioeconomy credentials and intellectual capital: a comparative modelling approach for the E.U.-13 and E.U.-15
Acknowledging the importance of the bioeconomy as an important dimension of sustainable economic development, and particularly for E.U. strategies, this paper aims to identify and assess several bioeconomy modellers under the compelling effects of education and researchādevelopmentāinnovation activities. Within this frame of reference, the authors have assessed the role of intellectual capital in shaping bioeconomy outcomes, distinct for the new E.U.-13 and E.U.-15. A complex set of methods and macro-econometric models was applied on two balanced panels, compiled during 1995ā2016, that bind random effects models with panel-corrected standard errors, spatial analysis and structural equation modelling. Overall, the importance of research, development, innovation and specific skills acquired in the field of bioeconomy is outlined, as key elements of E.U. economic strategies, being essential for all Member States

Trends in the Evolution of the Average Length of Stay in Tourist Destinations on the Romanian Black Sea Coast
In recent decades, although most tourists have made several trips during a year, the average
length of their vacations has decreased.
The tendency to reduce the average length of stay of tourists has been evident in many destinations
around the world in recent years.
The purpose of this paper is to conduct an analysis of how the average length of stay of tourists
in the main categories of destinations in Romania has evolved over the last decade, providing details
about the evolution regarding tourist destinations located in the Romanian Black Sea coastal area.
Starting from the possible causes identified in this paper, of the almost continuous decrease in the
average length of stay in these destinations, we consider it necessary to undertake more in-depth
studies, to find out the causes of these developments, which will be the basis of future development
and marketing strategies regarding the respective tourist resorts

Preliminary study of thrombogenicity induced by the nanoparticle surface coating of intracranial stents
Endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms with intracranial stents was proven to be clinically safe and effective, but is still associated with a risk of thromboembolic complications. Stent thrombosis could be a sever complication associated with specific stent surface coatings and designs. Standardized in vitro tests for investigation of thrombogenicity induced by different nanomaterials were used as the basic method in carrying out the present study. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the thrombogenicity of three different nanomaterials (ZnO, TiO2 si Fe3O4) possible used as surface coating for intracranial stents. This study is based on a procedure for in vitro analyses of plasma coagulation time. To measure the plasma coagulation time, platelet-poor plasma from human whole blood was in vitro exposed to nanoparticles and analysed in prothrombin (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin (APTT)

Associated intracranial lesions: meningioma and anterior communicating aneurysm
Asymptomatic associated intracranial lesions are more frequently diagnosed with the utilization of high-resolution imaging.
