Tehnologii medicale avansate – HIFU – tratamentul cancerului prostatic prin ablaţie termică
HIFU Center, Clinica Endoplus, Cluj Napoca, Romania, Universitatea de Medicină şi Farmacie ”Iuliu Haţieganu” Cluj Napoca, Romania, Al V-lea Congres de Urologie, Dializă şi Transplant Renal din Republica Moldova cu participare internaţională (1-13 iunie 2011)Cancerul de prostată reprezintă una din cauzele majore de
morbiditate şi mortalitate la bărbaţi. Alternativele terapeutice
Robotic surgery in urology
During the last years, the approach to therapeutic and surgical treatment alternatives in urological pathology was changed by the mini-invasive approach.
Patients beneit from quickerrecovery, shorter length of hospital stay and lower use ofanalgesics after laparoscopic surgeries. Initially, robotic surgery was
created to help the surgeons to perform high diiculty surgeries. This goal has been reached especially in urology, where radical prostatectomy, partial
nephrectomy and radical cystectomy with urinary derivation are revolutionary
Retrospective Assessment of Animals Experimentation Projects in Romania – A Critical Analysis of Non-Technical Summaries
The aim of the present inquiry was to design an overview about the non-technical summaries available on the web page of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Agency (Romania). We analyzed the compliance to the requirement of replacement, reduction and refinement (the 3R’s). 56 projects were found, the most of them (48), were assigned as “basic research”, 2 as “translational and applied research”, 2 as “regulatory use and routine analysis”, while 4 projects targeted “higher education or training”. The most common animals species used were rats, and mice, followed by rabbits, pigs, hamsters, guinea pigs and frogs (Rana sp.). According to cumulative severity of the project, 20 projects were classified as “severe”, six as “moderate”, three “mild”, and three as “non-recovery”. 24 projects had nor a severity assessment, neither a proper description of the level of severity. In our opinion, the number of projects classified as “severe” is too high; at least for some of them, the level of severity could be reduced using appropriate pain control techniques and / or human end-points. Overall, our recommendation is further improving the knowledge and skills of the personal involved in authorization and execution of the projects and of the authority inspectors that authorized the projects
Animal vulnerability and the necessity of protecting them
In Romania, there are at least 14 animal species represented by 123 animal breeds and pure lines listed on the List
of animal genetic resources in critical state, threatened, or vulnerable. Though these animal species need to be
protected, their conservation has not been supported financially. These categories of vulnerable animals are
represented by: 13 sheep breeds, 19 fish species and breeds, 2 goat breeds, 2 swine breeds, 4 goose breeds, 61
chicken breeds and pure lines, 7 turkey populations, 7 duck breeds, the Romanian buffalo, and a bovine breed,
the Sură de stepă
Emergency situations in soil pollution by animal wastes
The analysed indices were identical during the entire research period, and so were the measurement methods
used in the laboratory (pH, total humus, total nitrogen, mobile phosphorus, potassium). The evolution of the
soil pollution by animal wastes from the farm animals in the Arad area point out a high level of soil pollution
because of the low values of the pH, of the low soil bonitation scores, of the secondary compaction in the
first genetic horizon. After a poultry farms ceases to operate, soil pollution persists, with a slight tendency to decrease naturally
Technical features of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy 3D full hd: davinci versus einstein vision
Spitalul Clinic Municipal, secţia Urologie, Cluj-Napoca, România, Institutul Oncologic, secţia Urologie, Cluj-Napoca, România, UMF "luliu Haţieganu" Cluj-Napoca, România, USMF "Nicolae Testemiţanu" Republica Moldova, Al VI-lea Congres de Urologie, Dializă şi Transplant Renal din Republica Moldova cu participare internaţională (21-23 octombrie 2015)Summary
The development of the new imagistic methods - multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging, has increased the number of prostate cancer cases detected
in localized and locally-advanced stage, which allows curative treatment - radical prostatectomy. At the moment, there are 3 options for carrying out the
radical prostatectomy: 2D Laparoscopy, 3D laparoscopy (PRL) and robotics (RALP).
The aim of the study was to evaluate the technical features of 3D laparoscopic radical prostatectomy compared to that achieved by robotic approach.
The study included 35 patients diagnosed with adenocarcinoma who underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy 3D intervention in the period March to
August 2015, in "Endoplus" Clinic. Also, a second study group consisted of first 207 patients that had been operated robotic in the Center for Robotic Surgery
Hospital Municipal Cluj-Napoca.
3D laparoscopic radical prostatectomy can be considered an alternative to robotic approach in centers that do not benefit from this technique, with similar
results in terms of operative time, blood loss and postoperative patient recovery
The Diagnosis of Fetal Sexing in Cattle Using Ultrasound
The purpose of this research was to conduct an ultrasound exam in the interval between 49-120 days of gestation for the determination of fetus sex and to establish the interval when the fetal sexing is possible. The research was carried out in three farms from Transylvania. In farm A were examined 25 animals, in farm B 13 animals and in farm C 11 animals. The diagnosis of the fetal sexing was possible for 35 cases, 14 animals were diagnosed as female and 21 were male. In the interval between 56-65 days of gestation the diagnosis of fetal sexing was established by viewing the genital tubercle and in the interval between 65-90 days of gestation the diagnosis was established by viewing the secondary genital organs. In 14 cases the diagnosis was not set; in 4 cases the conception product has not been sufficiently developed, the genital tubercle was not visible, and in 10 cases the fetus was too big and was impossible to localize the genital organs
