Chinese Royalty to Pay City Visit

The prince arrived in Indianapolis in a new Pullman parlor car, the Thuringia, at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 18. A police and National Guard escort accompanied him in a parade to the statehouse where he was greeted by the Governor and other dignitaries. Wearing a white glove that “was nearly black at the end,” the prince shook hands with 1,500 people.
