    Abstract Data security now days have became essential transmission of data in public communication system is not secure due to interception and improper manipulation by eavesdropper. Data Security means protecting a database from destructive forces and the unwanted actions of unauthorized users. The priority of data should be the confidentiality, integrity, and availability for the same, various data security techniques has been implemented."Steganography" is a Greek origin word which means "hidden writing". Steganography word is classified into two parts as: Steganos which means "secret or covered" (where you want to hide the secret messages) and the graphic which means "writing" (text).The proposed method hides the data that is secret message based on Advanced Digital Image Steganography Method using encrypting data with digital images while identifying the identical bits between the image pixel and secret messages values. The proposed method is compared with one of the data hiding approach Least Significant Bit approach. The proposed method is very simple, also efficient and it is robust to unauthorized access or attack and improves the image quality, hence has obtained a high accuracy

    Abstract With the recent rapid developments in the field of sensing technologies, multisensory systems have become a reality in a growing number of fields such as remote sensing, medical imaging, machine vision and the military applications for which they were first developed. The result of the use of these techniques is a great increase of the amount of data available. Image fusion provides an effective way of reducing this increased volume of information while at the same time extracting and increasing all the useful information from the source images. The underlying idea used here is to fuse different views of the same image .For achieving this; first the image is segmented and then fused into a complete image. The fused image provides better information for human or machine perception as compared to any of the input images. A total variation norm based approach has been adopted to fuse the pixels of the noisy input images. Better results can be obtained on several test images. The goal of image fusion hence achieved and gives better human perception

    Abstract Ground water contains a wide variety of dissolved inorganic chemical constituents in various concentrations, resulting from chemical and biochemical interactions between water and the geological materials. Inorganic contaminants including salinity, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, iron and arsenic are important in determining the suitability of ground water for drinking purposes. The predominant types of the volcanic rocks are the basaltic lava flows of Deccan Plateau. Water bearing properties of different flow units control ground water occurrence and movement in Deccan Traps. The Deccan Traps have usually poor to moderate permeability depending on the presence of primary and secondary pore spaces including vesicles/fractures. A new method of Transverse River-valley Profile (TRP) study and interpretation was adopted. Several TRP parameters were identified which were quantifiable, and, therefore, useful in the inter-TRP and inter-drainage comparisons and correlations. The method was applied to the study of several TRPs of the Maru drainage basin. Several multidisciplinary thematic maps on uniform scale were prepared. These themes included quantitative geomorphology, drainage network, geology, tectonics, soil types and properties, soil erosion, gully growth and land degradation, etc. When it was found that high erosion had taken place in the central segment of the basin caused by a high rate of incision by the Maru and its tributaries, this feature was related to neo-tectonically controlled river grade adjustments. The TRP study could also differentiate a four-tier terrace system (T 1 -T 4 ) in the Maru drainage basin, and its differential dissection and displacement. Hypsometric analysis of the Maru drainage basin was carried out to decipher the stages of landform evolution, and to assess the influence of geologic and tectonic factors on topography and its modifications. It was concluded that the area of the sub-catchments controls the aspect ratios of the basin because of lateral drainage branching and network bifurcation. Two landform evolution models were generated on the basis of variations in the coordinates of the slope inflection points on the hypsometric curves in terms of relative height and plain area. The remote sensing techniques have been proved to be very efficient in identification geo-hydrological and geo-environmental aspects of the study area. Geology, geomorphology, hydro-geomorphology, geo-hydrology, structure, soils, erosion, and land use land cover helped in identification of the potential zones for development planning and forecasting limitations to their implementation with seasonal accuracy. Lineaments and their intersections appear to be potential sites for groundwater. The Maru drainage basin is suitable for surface reservoirs and check dams. The study shows that the integration of all attributes provide more accurate results to identify the geo-environmental and geo-hydrological characteristics

    Abstract Coins are integral part of our day to day life. We use coins everywhere like grocery store, banks, buses, trains etc. So it becomes a basic need that coins can be sorted and counted automatically. For this it is necessary that coins can be recognized automatically. In this paper we have developed an ANN (Artificial Neural Network) based Automated Coin Recognition System for the recognition of Indian Coins of denomination `1, `2, `5 and `10 with rotation invariance. We have taken images from both sides of coin. So this system is capable of recognizing coins from both sides. Features are extracted from images using techniques of Genetic algorithm. Then, the extracted features are passed as input to a trained Neural Network. 97.74% recognition rate has been achieved during the experiments i.e. only 2.26% miss recognition, which is quite encouraging

    Abstract Hand gesture recognition system can be used for interfacing between computer and human using hand gesture. This work presents a technique for a human computer interface through hand gesture recognition that is able to recognize some static gestures from the American Sign Language hand alphabet or numbers. The objective of this research is to develop a feed forward algorithm for recognition of hand gestures. The use of hand gestures provides an attractive alternative to interface devices for human-computer interaction (HCI). The ability to interact with computers in more natural and intuitive ways. The hand can be used to communicate much more information by itself compared to computer mice, joysticks, etc. allowing a greater number of possibilities for computer interaction.     Abstract Seed vigor testing and monitoring the seed quality is important aspect so as to maintain the seed quality. This can be done by calculating early seedling growth. Hand measurement of seedling growth is quite tedious and results vary from laboratory to laboratory; from person to person. Computer-aided analysis improves the results providing consistency and accuracy in measurement. Images of soybean seeds were captured over a period of its imbibition and then image processing algorithm is applied to calculate some of the parameters related to seed size and shape. Time course of each descriptor is similar to that of the triphasic curve of water uptake. This system can be applied to germination under different condition, different seeds, etc. Seed size and shape factor are useful to estimate the radical emergence rate of the seeds

    Abstract In this article, we provide the nontechnical reader with a fundamental understanding of the components of virtual reality (VR) and a thorough discussion of the role VR has played in social science. First, we provide a brief overview of the hardware and equipment used to create VR and review common elements found within the virtual environment that may be of interest to social scientists, such as virtual humans and interactive, multisensory feedback. Then, we discuss the role of VR in existing social scientific research.
