Bi-harmonic superspace for N=4 d=4 super Yang-Mills
We develop N=4 d=4 bi-harmonic superspace and use it to derive a novel form
for the low-energy effective action in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. We solve
the N=4 supergauge constraints in this superspace in terms of analytic
superfields. Using these superfields, we construct a simple functional that
respects N=4 supersymmetry and scale invariance. In components, it reproduces
all on-shell terms in the four-derivative part of the N=4 SYM effective action;
in particular, the F^4/X^4 and Wess-Zumino terms. The latter comes out in a
novel SO(3) x SO(3)-invariant form.Comment: 1+19 pages; minor corrections, references adde
On the infrared behaviour of 3d Chern-Simons theories in N=2 superspace
We discuss the problem of infrared divergences in the N=2 superspace approach
to classically marginal three-dimensional Chern-Simons-matter theories.
Considering the specific case of ABJM theory, we describe the origin of such
divergences and offer a prescription to eliminate them by introducing
non-trivial gauge-fixing terms in the action. We also comment on the extension
of our procedure to higher loop order and to general three-dimensional
Chern-Simons-matter models.Comment: 26 pages, 6 figures, JHEP3; v2: minor corrections and references

Ordinary-derivative formulation of conformal totally symmetric arbitrary spin bosonic fields
Conformal totally symmetric arbitrary spin bosonic fields in flat space-time
of even dimension greater than or equal to four are studied. Second-derivative
(ordinary-derivative) formulation for such fields is developed. We obtain gauge
invariant Lagrangian and the corresponding gauge transformations. Gauge
symmetries are realized by involving the Stueckelberg and auxiliary fields.
Realization of global conformal boost symmetries on conformal gauge fields is
obtained. Modified de Donder gauge condition and de Donder-Stueckelberg gauge
condition are introduced. Using the de Donder-Stueckelberg gauge frame,
equivalence of the ordinary-derivative and higher-derivative approaches is
demonstrated. On-shell degrees of freedom of the arbitrary spin conformal field
are analyzed. Ordinary-derivative light-cone gauge Lagrangian of conformal
fields is also presented. Interrelations between the ordinary-derivative gauge
invariant formulation of conformal fields and the gauge invariant formulation
of massive fields are discussed.Comment: 51 pages, v2: Results and conclusions of v1 unchanged. In Sec.3,
brief review of higher-derivative approaches added. In Sec.4, new
representations for Lagrangian, modified de Donder gauge, and de
Donder-Stueckelberg gauge added. In Sec.5, discussion of interrelations
between the ordinary-derivative and higher-derivative approaches added.

Half-integer Higher Spin Fields in (A)dS from Spinning Particle Models
We make use of O(2r+1) spinning particle models to construct linearized
higher-spin curvatures in (A)dS spaces for fields of arbitrary half-integer
spin propagating in a space of arbitrary (even) dimension: the field
potentials, whose curvatures are computed with the present models, are
spinor-tensors of mixed symmetry corresponding to Young tableaux with D/2 - 1
rows and r columns, thus reducing to totally symmetric spinor-tensors in four
dimensions. The paper generalizes similar results obtained in the context of
integer spins in (A)dS.Comment: 1+18 pages; minor changes in the notation, references updated.

Effective action of three-dimensional extended supersymmetric matter on gauge superfield background
We study the low-energy effective actions for gauge superfields induced by
quantum N=2 and N=4 supersymmetric matter fields in three-dimensional Minkowski
space. Analyzing the superconformal invariants in the N=2 superspace we propose
a general form of the N=2 gauge invariant and superconformal effective action.
The leading terms in this action are fixed by the symmetry up to the
coefficients while the higher order terms with respect to the Maxwell field
strength are found up to one arbitrary function of quasi-primary N=2
superfields constructed from the superfield strength and its covariant spinor
derivatives. Then we find this function and the coefficients by direct quantum
computations in the N=2 superspace. The effective action of N=4 gauge multiplet
is obtained by generalizing the N=2 effective action.Comment: 1+27 pages; v2: minor corrections, references adde
Variant supercurrent multiplets
In N = 1 rigid supersymmetric theories, there exist three standard
realizations of the supercurrent multiplet corresponding to the (i) old
minimal, (ii) new minimal and (iii) non-minimal off-shell formulations for N =
1 supergravity. Recently, Komargodski and Seiberg in arXiv:1002.2228 put
forward a new supercurrent and proved its consistency, although in the past it
was believed not to exist. In this paper, three new variant supercurrent
multiplets are proposed. Implications for supergravity-matter systems are
discussed.Comment: 11 pages; V2: minor changes in sect. 3; V3: published version; V4:

Superform formulation for vector-tensor multiplets in conformal supergravity
The recent papers arXiv:1110.0971 and arXiv:1201.5431 have provided a
superfield description for vector-tensor multiplets and their Chern-Simons
couplings in 4D N = 2 conformal supergravity. Here we develop a superform
formulation for these theories. Furthermore an alternative means of gauging the
central charge is given, making use of a deformed vector multiplet, which may
be thought of as a variant vector-tensor multiplet. Its Chern-Simons couplings
to additional vector multiplets are also constructed. This multiplet together
with its Chern-Simons couplings are new results not considered by de Wit et al.
