Determination of the Michel Parameters rho, xi, and delta in tau-Lepton Decays with tau --> rho nu Tags
Using the ARGUS detector at the storage ring DORIS II, we have
measured the Michel parameters , , and for
decays in -pair events produced at
center of mass energies in the region of the resonances. Using
as spin analyzing tags, we find , , , , and . In addition, we report
the combined ARGUS results on , , and using this work
und previous measurements.Comment: 10 pages, well formatted postscript can be found at

A Search for the Electric Dipole Moment of the Tau-Lepton
Using the ARGUS detector at the e+e- storage ring DORIS II, we have searched
for the real and imaginary part of the electric dipole formfactor d_tau of the
tau lepton in the production of tau pairs at q^2=100 GeV^2. This is the first
direct measurement of this CP violating formfactor. We applied the method of
optimised observables which takes into account all available information on the
observed tau decay products. No evidence for CP violation was found, and we
derive the following results: Re(d_tau)=(1.6+-.9)*10^(-16) ecm and
Im(d_tau)=(-0.2+-0.8)*10^(-16) ecm, where statistical and systematic errors
have been combined.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures (10 subfigures
Evaluating correspondence of Russian science to international standards of research in conditions of self-isolation: issues and potential solutions
There has been completed an evaluation of the share of internationalized publications written by Russian scientists in 2014. It was demonstrated that no more than 8–10% of scientific publications written by Russian scientists, indexed in the National index of scientific citation, were reflected in international bibliometric data bases Web of Science and Scopus and only half of those were cited in the first three years after publication. The share of domestic publications, accessible to international scientific community is estimated in 5%.Based on the presented data, it was assumed that self-isolation of Russian science is progressing. It is was noted, that in circumstances when 95% of publications by Russian scientists remain inaccessible to an international scientific community and when there is no feedback received in the form of citations of presented outcomes, evaluating correspondence of the latter to international standards of research is significantly difficult. In order to identify the scientific capacity of Russian scientists, and to see how it is matching international frontlines of research, it is suggested to use methods of linguistic and semantic analysis on the basis of Exactus Expert system
Imitating Modeling of destruction process of polymer
In work the approach to modelling of molecular-structural characteristics of polymers during process thermooxidizing destruction is considered, for a basis imitating modelling of stochastic processes of destruction of macromolecules of polymer is accepted
A study of drift chamber ageing with propane
Wire ageing effects observed in the ARGUS drift chamber are described, as well as results of laboratory studies of ageing in a small test chamber. The tests were performed under realistic conditions with small anode currents of about 14 nA. In normal purity propane a gain drop of about 1000%/(C/cm) is observed. After the accumulation of 0.01 C/cm on the anode wire, discharges begin. Purification of the propane with Oxisorb or the addition of 0.2% water vapour reduces the gain drop to about 100%/(C/cm). No discharges are observed in this case, even after irradiation of 0.2 C/cm. The addition of water vapour can also rehabilitate a chamber damaged by radiation
