Experimental and theoretical studies of bearing capacity and deformation of reinforced soil foundations under cyclic loading
The article discusses design models bearing capacity and deformation of reinforced soil base vertical elements. Development of newanalytical expressions of the mechanical condition of reinforced base with a joint deformation of the soil and reinforcing elements. Resistance reinforced base shift in the boundary zones formed of earth resistance by compression reinforcing elements and the resistance to bending of reinforcing elements. The bearing capacity of the soil under the reinforcing elements is determined from the strength of triaxial compression. The value of shear force, the perceived reinforcing elements is determined from the equation of equilibrium moments of the external and internal forces of the most loaded section of the reinforcing element, clamped through the shear plane of the soil. The resistance of reinforced soil compression in the middle part defined of the requirements of strength under triaxial compressive. Deformation of the reinforced base determined by the method of layer-stack surround the stress-strain state and joint deformation of the soil and reinforcing elements. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London

POSSIBILITIES OF COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF PRIMARY PULMONARY VASCULITIS
Objective: to study the main computed tomography (CT) signs of primary pulmonary vasculitis at different stages of disease development. Material and methods. Eighty-nine patients, including those with Wegener’s granulomatosis (WG) (n = 60), Churg–Strauss syndrome (CSS) (n = 24), or microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) (n = 5), were examined. Vasculitis was diagnosed on the basis of comprehensive clinical, X-ray, and morphological examination. CT study was performed in 40 (85.1%) patients over time. Radiography encompassed chest X-ray and computed tomography. Results. The CT signs of WG were as follows: parenchymal infiltrates in 41 (68.3%) patients, vast zones of ground glass and consolidation in 16 (21.6%), and bronchial wall thickening in 27 (46.7%). The infiltrates showed aseptic decay cavities in 26 (63.4%) cases. In CSS, the CT changes included ground glass symptom (100%), consolidation symptom (54.2%), bronchial wall thickening concurrent with bronchial dilatation (87.5%), and increased peripheral pulmonary vessel diameter (45.8%). CSS was typified by migratory infiltrates. The pulmonary manifestations of MPA were characterized by the regions of alveolar infiltration of varying intensity and extent. Conclusion. The use of CT in pulmonary vasculitis makes it possible to reliably detect and differentiate pathological changes in the lung, to estimate their extent and monitor the efficiency of treatment

Theoretical and methodological foundations of provision of well-balanced development of forest sector of economy under the conditions of climatic changes and increase of anthropogenic stress
Current climatic changes are a threat to effective development of forestry under the modern economic conditions, which is aggravated by increase of anthropogenic stress in the sphere of forest use. Formation of strategies of well-balanced development of forestry supposes not only analysis of popular methodological approaches but formation of organizational mechanism for managing this sphere, the realization of which is aimed at preventive elimination of emerging threats. Provision of well-balanced development of economic system is viewed from the positions of the theory of management. The authors substantiate the use of complex approach which takes into account tendencies of functioning of forest sector, as a constant process of using forest resources, their preservation and renewal. Complexity will provide the study of the managed sub-system of forest complex (forestry) as totality, consisting of separate interconnected spheres of activities which possess their own functions and goals, with ordered and interconnected activities. Preventive approach will ensure timely revelation of key problems and threats to provision of well-balanced development of forest complex. Reflection will allow choosing the most effective instrumentarium for prevention (levelling) of emerging threats on the basis of existing experience. Balance of development is viewed as a feature peculiar for all structural components of economic system. It is advisable to distinguish the following factors which influence well-balanced development of region: group of natural and ecological, socio-political, economic, and social factors. Key components of provision of well-balanced development of economic system (forestry) could be presented from the positions of study, firstly, of managing and managed sub-systems; secondly, from the position of sub-system of forecasting, monitoring, identification, and evening-out of threats to well-balanced development.peer-reviewe

The infrastructure of public catering in the context of tourist city space development
To assess the impact of environmental factors on the activities of catering enterprises of the Belgorod region and the quality of customer service, the authors proposed a method using STEP-analysis and SWOT-analysis. The analysis of environmental factors was carried out on the basis of the expert evaluation results conducted in two stage
Transformation of museum product
Today, each museum needs to develop an active strategy of market development, which is preceded by a comprehensive analysis of potential consumers of the museum product, on the basis of which the directions of development will be proposed. The conducted research allowed us to reveal a number of problems which are connected with necessity of transformation of the museum product providing satisfaction of visitor’s requirements and, at the same time, increase in the income of the museu
The generalized Jonscher's relationship for conductivity and its confirmation for porous structures
The theoretical generalization of the Jonscher's relationship for the complex conductivity of carriers moving in self-similar medium is derived. It is shown that the correction derived enters to more general expression, which, in turn, we define as the generalized Jonscher's relationship. The basic idea which was used for the derivation of the relationship is based on the supposition that disordered medium has self-similar property. The derived relationship is confirmed on dielectric spectroscopy data related to sodium nitrite embedded to porous glasses. Based on new relationship there is a possibility to extract additional information about relaxation processes of a system of dipoles from the processes related to conductivity. It is important in the cases when the contribution to relaxation peaks is small and unnoticeable on the background of essential domination of processes related to conductivity. © 2011 Elsevier B.V.
