“LTCI” Mode Enables the Construction of Maker Teams of Foreign Language Majors of Application-Oriented Universities
From the perspective of “Learning, Training, Competition and Innovation” (LTCI) mode, this paper focuses on the construction of maker teams of foreign language majors of Baoding University, one of the typical application-oriented universities in Hebei province, China. It first introduces the background of the study, indicating the importance of carrying out innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the value of “LTCI” mode. Then a review of the literature shows the need for this study. After that, the paper analyzes the status quo of the foreign language maker teams at Baoding University. Based on the existing problems, the researcher proposes the framework and implementation plan on the construction of maker teams of foreign language majors with “LTCI” involvement. It is expected that the research will promote the innovation and entrepreneurial capabilities of the foreign language maker teams, and enhance the output of innovative foreign language talents
Price competition model in decentralized and centralized supply chains with demand disruption
Purpose: The paper studies the price competition of a supply chain with one supplier and two competing retailers under occasional demand disruption.
Design/methodology/approach: The supply chain is either decentralized or centralized. The demand disruption for two retailers occurs with different probability. We analyze the effect of occurrence probability of demand disruption on the optimal prices of the supplier and two retailers.
Findings: We find that the profits of supplier, retailers and supply chain are decreasing with the occurrence probability of demand disruption.
Originality/value: It is helpful for supply chain members to adjust the original contracts to demand disruption.Peer Reviewe
Urban Organic Renewal and the Construction of Chengdu Urban Tourism Demonstration Zone: Theory and Practice
This paper, based on the theoretical framework of urban organic renewal, takes Chengdu as a case study to delve into the interrelationship between urban renewal and the construction of a tourism demonstration zone. Through literature research, field investigations, and analysis, it reveals the impact of urban renewal on the development of tourism demonstration zones and proposes feasible policy recommendations aimed at promoting the sustainable development of Chengdu’s urban area and the prosperity of its tourism industry. This study has significant innovative and practical value in both academic theory and policy implementation
What affects the timing of tropical cyclone formation within a monsoon trough?
Although favorable environmental conditions for tropical cyclone (TC) formation have been known for a long time, physical factors that influence the timing of TC formation remain unclear. Idealized numerical simulations are conducted by placing identical tropical disturbances (TDs) in various locations within the monsoon trough to examine what affects the timing of TC formation. The timing of TC formation is evaluated by the development time of TDs, which ranges from 60Â h to 189Â h. Vertical misalignment, defined as the vortex tilt between mid-and low-level circulation centers of the TD, is closely related to TC formation timing. The mid-and low-level circulation centers tend to be vertically aligned when TC formation time approaches. Different from previous studies, vertical misalignment does not entirely depend on vertical wind shear. Vertical misalignment is directly induced by inconsistent translation speeds between the mid-and low-level circulation centers. However, the steering flows for the mid-and low-level circulation centers cannot fully explain the differences in translation speeds. Additionally, there is no strong connection between environmental conditions and TC formation timing for the TDs within the monsoon trough. Rossby energy dispersions of TDs and terrain effects have some impacts on TC formation timing but are not decisive in this study
