Protecting Two-Qubit Quantum States by -Phase Pulses
We study the state decay of two qubits interacted with a common harmonic
oscillator reservoir. There are both decoherence error and the error caused by
the amplitude change of the superradiant state. We show that frequent
-phase pulses can eliminate both typpes of errors therefore protect a
two-qubit odd-parity state more effectively than the frequent measurement
method. This shows that the the methods using dynamical decoupling and the
quantum Zeno effects actually can give rather {\em different} results when the
operation frequency is finite
Entanglement distribution maximization over one-side Gaussian noisy channel
The optimization of entanglement evolution for two-mode Gaussian pure states
under one-side Gaussian map is studied. Even there isn't complete information
about the one-side Gaussian noisy channel, one can still maximize the
entanglement distribution by testing the channel with only two specific states

Изучение сорбционных свойств активированного угля и оксигидрооксида алюминия для удаления гуминовых веществ из природных вод
It is found that the time of adsorption process of organic substances on activated carbon (PAC) Norit SA UF is about 3 hours. The maximum adsorption capacity of activated carbon to organic substances equals to 0.25 mg/mg. The maximum adsorption capacity of aluminum oxyhydroxide to organic substances equals to 2.3 mg/mg. Consequently, the aluminum oxyhydroxide has better adsorption characteristics in comparison with the activated carbon for removal of humic substances. It is shown that the destruction of the iron colloid substances occurs as a result of the removal of humic organic substances from the solution
DesignTracking: Track and Replay BIM-based Design Process
Among different phases of the life cycle of a building or facility, design is
of the utmost importance to ensure safety, efficiency and sustainability of the
building or facility. How to control and improve design quality and efficiency
has been explored for years, and more studies emerged with the popularization
of Building Information Modelling (BIM). However, most of them focused on the
extraction of design behaviors, while paying less attention to how a design is
formed. Therefore, this study proposes an approach to tracking and replaying
the BIM-based design process by integrating data logging and 4D visualization
techniques. First of all, potential design behaviors and procedures are
analyzed and extracted by observing how a designer designs a BIM model.
Meanwhile, the required data for logging design process is defined and a
relevant method to collect these data is developed based on the APIs of BIM
software. Then, strategies on how to visualize different design procedures are
designed and implemented via 4D visualization. Finally, a prototype system is
developed based on Autodesk Revit and validated through a case study. Result
shows that the proposed approach enables intuitively and interactively review
of the design process, and makes it easier to understand design behaviors and
even identify potential pitfalls, thus improving the design efficiency and
quality
Electronic structure of Fe1.04(Te0.66Se0.34)
We report the electronic structure of the iron-chalcogenide superconductor,
Fe1.04(Te0.66Se0.34), obtained with high resolution angle-resolved
photoemission spectroscopy and density functional calculations. In
photoemission measurements, various photon energies and polarizations are
exploited to study the Fermi surface topology and symmetry properties of the
bands. The measured band structure and their symmetry characters qualitatively
agree with our density function theory calculations of Fe(Te0.66Se0.34),
although the band structure is renormalized by about a factor of three. We find
that the electronic structures of this iron-chalcogenides and the
iron-pnictides have many aspects in common, however, significant differences
exist near the Gamma-point. For Fe1.04(Te0.66Se0.34), there are clearly
separated three bands with distinct even or odd symmetry that cross the Fermi
energy (EF) near the zone center, which contribute to three hole-like Fermi
surfaces. Especially, both experiments and calculations show a hole-like
elliptical Fermi surface at the zone center. Moreover, no sign of spin density
wave was observed in the electronic structure and susceptibility measurements
of this compound.Comment: 7 pages, 9 figures. submitted to PRB on November 15, 2009, and

Efficiency of electrochemical chloride removal from concrete at different environmental temperatures
Electrochemical chloride removal (ECR) is an effective and curative method to treat existed reinforced concrete structures about to suffer or already suffering from chloride attack, however, its application is still limited due to its side effect and efficiency, including the velocity and maximum capacity of chloride removal. This paper presents a temperature related numerical transport model to study the effect of temperature on efficiency of electrochemical chloride removal from concrete. Based on Fick’s law and Nernst-Planck equation with Gauss’ Law, temperature effect, chloride binding, multi-species coupling, electrochemical reactions were taken into account in this model. Temperature effect was considered on diffusion coefficient, chloride binding, ions migration capacity as well as electrolyte concentration. The model was validated by the comparison between the calculated results and experimental data. The results indicate that temperature dose have a considerable influence on electrochemical chloride removal and controlling temperature during treatment is a practical method to improve the electrochemical chloride removal when applied current density is not amplified
