ENVIRONMENTAL SURVEILLANCE AT HANFORD FOR CY-1978

Environmental data collected during 1978 show continued compliance by Hanford with all applicable state and federal regulations. Data were collected for most environmental media including air, Columbia River water, external radiation, foodstuffs (milk, beef, eggs, poultry, and produce) and wildlife (deer, fish, and game birds), as well as soil and vegetation samples. In general, offsite levels of radionuclides attributable to Hanford operations during 1978 were indistinguishable from background levels
