Combination optimization of green energy supply in data center based on simulated annealing particle swarm optimization algorithm

    Get PDF
At present, the high energy consumption of data centers based on grid power supply not only brings huge direct cost of electricity, but also indirectly produces a lot of greenhouse gases, which affects the natural environment. Academia and industry are beginning to introduce clean renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power into data centers to reduce operating costs and environmental damage by building new green data centers. To solve this problem, this study considers the use of waste heat for refrigeration while taking natural gas power generation into account, and introduces wind energy as a green energy source. On the premise of considering the response level of data centers, the two resources are combined and deployed to improve resource utilization and reduce energy consumption costs. Aiming at the instability of wind power generation, a particle swarm energy scheduling optimization algorithm based on simulated annealing algorithm was proposed by combining simulated annealing algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm. The research shows that, considering the response level of data centers, the use of natural gas and wind energy as the main energy supply can effectively reduce the overall energy consumption of data centers

Endothelial Progenitor Cells Enhance the Migration and Osteoclastic Differentiation of Bone Marrow-Derived Macrophages in vitro and in a Mouse Femur Fracture Model through Talin-1

Background/Aims: Bone resorption mediated by osteoclasts plays an important role in bone healing. Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) promote bone repair by stimulating neovascularization and osteogenesis. However, the role of EPCs in osteoclast formation and function is not well defined. The aim of this study was to elucidate mechanisms of EPCs in osteoclast formation and function. Methods: In this study, we examined the effects of EPCs on the proliferation, migration and osteoclastic differentiation of primary mouse bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMMs) in a co-culture system in vitro. We also evaluated the effects of EPC co-transplantation on the homing and osteoclastic differentiation of transplanted BMMs in a mouse bone fracture model in vivo. The technology of immunofluorescence, immunohistochemical, western blot, Rt-PCR, cell co-culture and Transwell were used in this study. Results: EPCs secreted TGF-β1 in the EPC-BMM co-culture medium and increased Talin-1 expression in the co-cultured BMMs. Treatment with a TGF-β1 neutralizing antibody or Talin-1 silencing in BMMs completely inhibited BMM osteoclastic differentiation in the co-culture system. These results indicated that the osteoclastogenic effects of EPCs were mediated by TGF-β1-mediated Talin-1 expression in BMMs. In the femur fracture model, BMMs co-transplanted with EPCs exhibited enhanced engraftment into the fracture site and osteoclastic differentiation compared with those transplanted alone. Mice treated with EPC-BMM co-transplantation exhibited increased neovascularization at the fracture site and accelerated fracture healing compared with those treated with BMMs alone. Conclusion: Taken together, the results suggest that EPCs can promote bone repair by enhancing recruitment and differentiation of osteoclast precursors

Building and implementing on-line complaint handling system for Phillip Securities.

This report documents the group’s 8-month development of Phillip Securities’ online complaint handling system. The project started in May 2009 and ends in March 2010. Insofar, the first phase of the project has been completed. This online system is based on an open-source ticketing system which is OS Ticket. The reason for this selection over others is because it provides the largest features that fit Phillip Securities complaint handling process requirements. OS Ticket has a client panel, staff panel as well as an admin panel. Client panel allows customer to submit a complaint and check the ticket status, whereas staff panel allows staff to process the received ticket and to create a new ticket on behalf of customers. Admin panel is mainly for the administrator to configure the logics of the system. Enhancements and customizations are mainly in three areas: data reporting functions, access matrix and system work flow. For data reporting, more information is being captured in the forms of the web pages. Access rights are the different permissions given to the employees working in Phillip Securities whereas system work flow defines the auto-mapping of tickets to the departments. The final system is more user-friendly and powerful as it captures more complaint –related information and routes the ticket to the specific team automatically based on the nature of the complaint. Consequently, the system expedites the complaint-handing speed of the company, thus improves the overall customer service level.BUSINESS AND COMPUTIN

In the title compound, C24H34O3S, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 84.62 (8)°. In the crystal, intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds link molecules into zigzag chains running parallel to the c axis. The C atoms of two isopropyl groups are disordered over two sets of sites with occupancy ratios of 0.858 (9):0.142 (9) and 0.61 (5):0.39 (5)

Changes in Day and Night Temperatures and Their Asymmetric Effects on Vegetation Phenology for the Period of 2001–2016 in Northeast China

    No full text
Asymmetrical changes in day and night temperatures (Td, Tn) have become a hot topic in climate change research. Using the MODIS 8-day synthetic temperature (MOD11A2) and the SPOT-VGT/PROBA_V 10-day synthetic normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), we analyzed the spatiotemporal trends of Td and Tn in spring and autumn in Northeast China during the period of 2001–2016 and the partial correlation between temperature and vegetation phenology (start of season, SOS; end of season, EOS). We revealed that spring Td was the main negative factor pertaining to SOS. An increasing Td resulted in a delayed SOS in arid and semiarid regions, while in boreal areas, an increasing Td ensured the heat required for vegetation growth and prompted the SOS to advance. Conversely, EOS was positively correlated with Tn in autumn. Areas showing positive correlations between Tn and EOS totaled 73.26%, and 14.19% of the areas had a significant correlation (p < 0.05). However, the effects of Td on EOS were not as significant as Tn, and only at a 10.62% correlation did Td achieve significance, which was mostly attributable to areas of high elevation and latitude. Our results are crucial for future improvements in dynamic vegetation activities in response to climate change
