Diffractive processes in p.bar.p interactions at 5.1 GeV/c
The interaction pp to pp pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/ at 5.1 GeV/c is investigated. By a selection in the variables of the kinetic energy of each particle, and the Van Hove angles of each event, the final state pp to Delta Delta is separated as well as the final states pp to (p pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/)p and pp to (p pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/)p where the particles in parentheses represent the dissociation of the proton and antiproton, respectively.
