Research on Namsansinseong-bi in Gyeongju

This paper examines a group of six-century steles from the Silla kingdom known as the Namsansinseong-bi, providing textual analysis and an examination of the degree of standardization and nature of the orthography utilized in steles Nos. 4‒8 and No. 10. As a result, it is concluded that these steles do not conform to a strict standardization, that different calligraphers provided the original lettering for each of the steles, and that it is highly probable that a two-stage process was employed for making inscriptions in which the calligraphy was written directly on the face of the stone with a brush and then carved into it. It is also believed that the people involved in this process were those who appear in the stele texts, in other words, members of the various groups providing the labor for the construction of the Namsansinseong

Interoception is associated with the impact of eye contact on spontaneous facial mimicry

自分の身体の中の感覚に気づきやすい人ほど、表情模倣が起こりやすく、他人の視線にも敏感であることを解明. 京都大学プレスリリース. 2020-12-03.Interoception (perception of one’s own physiological state) has been suggested to underpin social cognition, although the mechanisms underlying this association remain unclear. The current study aimed to elucidate the relationship between interoception and two factors underlying social cognition: self-other boundary and sensitivity to social cues. We measured performance in a heartbeat perception task as an index of interoceptive accuracy (IAc), the frequency of spontaneous facial mimicry (SFM) as an index of self-other boundary, and the degree of the effect of eye contact on SFM (difference in SFM between conditions in which models’ eyes were directed to and averted from participants) as an index of social-cue sensitivity, and tested correlations among these measures. The results revealed that IAc and SFM were positively correlated only in the direct gaze condition. The extent of the effect of eye contact on SFM (difference in frequency between direct vs. averted conditions) was positively correlated with IAc. These overall findings were also observed in separate analyses of male and female participant groups, supporting the robustness of the findings. The results suggest that interoception is related to sensitivity to social cues, and may also be related to the self-other boundary with modulation by social context

A preliminary Consideration of Samjeondo Monument (Memorial Stele of Ch\u27ing Tai jong in Samjeondo)

In this essay, I present the report and the evaluation of Samjeondo Monument in Modern Times. The monument for the Qing Emperor was erected at the command of Emperor Taizong (Hong Taiji) of Qing Dynasty in December 1639 after Joseon\u27s defeat to the war between Joseon and Qing. After the National Liberation Day of Korea (August 15, 1945), this monument has been evaluated from a nationalistic perspective rather than the value as a cultural property. In 1957, the monument was changed from a national treasure to a historical site. Tea Ritual in Chosŏn dynasty:Practice of Guest Ritual for Ming and Ching emissaries

朝鮮史における茶の歴史は古いが、国家の賓礼に喫茶が確認されるのは高麗以降である。これは朝鮮に入ると茶礼の名で登場するが、当初は宴の式次の一つであり、酒礼に先立って催されるものであった。だが18世紀に入ると、宴の簡素化などを経て茶礼が独立し、宴礼の性格を帯びるようになる。　この変化の画期は、おおよそ明清の交替期にあると推測されるが、特に朝鮮国王と明使が相互に茶鍾を手渡す行為が、清使に対して行なわれなくなった点は注目される。茶鍾の手渡しの廃止は、相互間の誠意や親睦の意味が希薄になったことを示すと思われ、その背景には朝鮮の清朝に対する反感が想定される

正則写像の値分布に関連した諸問題の研究
