Feasibility or Experiment on Working Model of Self Balancing Vehicle
The invention discloses a small-sized self-balancing scooter. The small-sized self-balancing scooter comprises a platform, two wheels arranged on the two sides of the platform correspondingly, and a direction control rod arranged on the platform. The small-sized self-balancing scooter further comprises two pedals arranged on the outer sides of the two wheels correspondingly. The pedals are connected with the small-sized self-balancing scooter through hinges. When the small-sized self-balancing scooter is in a non-riding state, the pedals on the outer sides of the wheels can be turned and folded through the hinges, so that the dimension of the scooter in the length direction is greatly reduced. Therefore, the size of the small-sized self-balancing scooter is reduced, and the small-sized self-balancing scooter can be conveniently carried by riders. Meanwhile, tires of the small-sized self-balancing scooter are arranged in a splayed manner, so that the wheel diameter of the wheels is increased on the basis of ensuring the whole size of the scooter, and the obstacle crossing capacity of the scooter is improved
MAYER-ROKITANSKY-KUSTER-HAUSER (MRKH) SYNDROME TYPE 2: ATYPICAL PRESENTATION OF RARE CASE
Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is a congenital malformation characterized by an absence of the vagina associated with a variable abnormality of the uterus and the urinary tract but functional ovaries. We are reporting atypical presentation of rare case. Patient had obstructed left inguinal hernia with genitourinary and skeletal deformity. Latter it diagnosed as Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome which is a rare disease
Study of storage induced Morphological and functional changes in Platelet concentrate at 22°c-24°c for 5 days
Background and objective: Platelets are routinely isolated from whole blood and stored in plasma for 5 days. The platelets undergo various storage changes which include biochemical, structural and functional changes that occur during platelet storage under blood bank conditions. Study aimed to assess the quality of platelets in platelet concentrate and to evaluate the effects of storage on platelets in platelet concentrate. Material and methods: The study was carried out in the Department of Pathology, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar. The samples were collected from platelet concentrate bags under sterile conditions. Total 54 platelet samples were assessed using the quality parameters such as swirling, platelet count, WBC count, MPV, PDW and pH on day 0 and day 4 of storage. Result: A total of 54 samples were evaluated and of these 95% have fulfilled all 6 parameters of quality control. Thus in our study majority of the prepared units were of the desired quality. All the parameters were assessed and the results obtained on both the units were well above the values of recommended norms. Conclusion: The quality of platelet concentrates were well maintained within the usual 5 days storage under 22°C to 25° C thus an extension of platelet storage time is recommended
Seasonality and regional disparity in attention to homelessness in UK newspapers between 2001 and 2020
This research examined the amount of media attention to homelessness in 11 UK newspapers with two main research questions: (1) Does the media coverage exhibit seasonal cyclical patterns in their attention to homelessness? (2) Do England's nine regions differ in the attention they receive after adjusting for their relative homelessness levels? Time series of all 4105 news reports with the keyword “homeless*” in their headline between 2001 and 2020 were tested for meteorological and monthly seasonal effects, revealing significantly greater attention in winter but decreased coverage in spring and summer. Contrary to expectation, further analysis suggested that the increased winter coverage was not related to the colder months but to the Christmas period. Regarding regional differences, London received the highest mentions in the news but after adjusting for the relative burden of homelessness, the North West emerged as receiving the most relative coverage. The East Midlands and East of England had the lowest adjusted attention scores. As suggested by the public arenas model, the findings of this research suggest that media focus on social problems like homelessness be culturally patterned with key events like Christmas shaping issue-prominence. Similarly, regional imbalances in attention may reflect a systemic bias in news reporting
