External control of gender budget implementation: Experience of the Audit Office of Andalusia
Since the passing of Law 18 in 2003, the autonomous community of Andalusia has been implementing
budgeting with a gender perspective, with the aim of correcting inequalities affecting women. The
Andalusian Audit Office (AOA) analysis of the gender budgeting (GB) model applied concluded that the
degree of integration of a gender perspective is insufficient. The impact of the various programmes aimed
at equality have not been assessed, the objectives were too generic and homogeneous indicators are needed. This study was carried out with the financial R&D Projects. European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

Episodic future thinking-induced forgetting: Exploring memory inhibitory mechanism in adults with autism
[EN]Background: This study examined memory inhibitory control in adults with autism. Our interest
stemmed from the idea that malfunctioning cognitive inhibition may contribute to symptoms such
as thought perseverance and inflexibility of social interactions in this disorder.
Method: We drew from work in retrieval-induced forgetting which shows that retrieving items from
memory causes forgetting of other competing information. We tested individuals with ASD
(n = 19) and without ASD (n = 20) using a task whereby engaging in episodic future thinking
(EFT) reduces the subsequent retrievability of related autobiographical memories (AMs). We also
looked at a sample of AM and EFT narratives using an overall-richness measure expressed by a
quantitative experiential index.
Results: Although adults with autism showed overall lower levels of richness in their AM and EFT
productions, and contrary to our prediction, they demonstrated levels of memory inhibition that
were comparable to controls.
Conclusions: The results suggest that memory inhibition, as measured by EFT-induced forgetting,
is relatively intact in ASD and are discussed in terms of how automatic and effortful inhibitory
processes in autism might be differentially affected
Long-term outcomes of distal locking in extracapsular fractures treated with trochanteric Gamma3 nails
[EN]Background: Few publications have assessed long-term results of distal locking of short endomedullary nails for extracapsular hip fracture. Virtually all of them focus on immediate differences. Criteria for the use of static or dynamic locking are unclear in most nailing systems, and use is advised in unstable fracture patterns or with risk of bell-clapper effect, but often influenced by the “orthopaedic school”.
Materials and methods: This is a historical cohort study on patients diagnosed and operated in 2014 and followed up until endpoint, considered as consolidation or major complication, plus evaluation of overall long-term survival. They were categorised as static distal locking (ST) or dynamic distal locking (DN). Both are comparable, except for all stable pre-operative classifications, Fracture Mobility Score (FMS) at discharge, and immediate post-operative loading, all of which were in favour of DN.
Results: Consolidation took place in > 95% of patients, with a non-statistically significant delay trend in ST. Less than 6% in both ST and DN had major complications, with no differences. Most cases suffered early cut-out. Significant fracture collapse was the most frequent minor complication. There were more statistically significant minor and total complications in ST. Infection, without differences, can precede cut-out. Lateral thigh pain was similar and could be related to back-out. In DN, 21.1% of cases were truly dynamised. We did not find differences in mobility or in longterm survival.
Conclusions: Any type of distal locking seems to be safe for consolidation, despite a slightly longer consolidation time in static locking. Early cut-out was the main complication, while others were very infrequent, which is an advantage over helical blade devices. There was a higher rate of minor and overall mechanical complications in ST, but infection and lateral thigh pain were similar. Most non-traumatic mechanical complications occurred around 5–6 weeks. About one in five of the DN truly dynamised, with all cases occurring before 8 weeks. Mobility until endpoint and overall long-term survival were not influenced by the locking mode used.

Sleeping disorders are an important clinical pathology, but adopting healthy habits proves to be beneficial towards improving both quality of sleep and life. Consequently, there exists a great deal of interest in implementing measures that prevent the adverse effects of such disorders, particularly those that appear with old age. Most notable among these measures are physical fitness programs, as they facilitate the activation of cognitive structures among participants, increasing their level of activity, quality of life, and sleep hygiene. Taking these ideas as a starting point, it was the intention of the authors to verify, by means of a quasi-experimental study, whether the application of different physical fitness programs is able to produce significant changes in the different variables related to the quality of sleep among subjects over 55 years of age. The results highlight the usefulness of physical fitness programs for improving quality of sleep hygiene. As a result, this makes it necessary to evaluate whether investing in these types of programs, which favor the prevention of health problems and maintain overall health and quality of life among people, are more profitable than investing in healthcare services.
The lack of linkage in modules and submodules of ICTs (information and communication technologies), has been an existing problem for some time, these remain isolated not only in knowledge, but also in the disciplinary and professional skills that the study program presents. , causing them to be abandoned in the holistic learning of the students, in such a way that they are seen as a topic without connection to their daily life and the fulfillment of the purpose of the training. The following investigation is carried out from a bibliographical review by searching for data or written records that identify the entrepreneurship, data from various authors that support the topic to be studied, through the analysis of documents, articles related to the topic: bibliographies, manuals, in universities, applied dissertations, etc. In this way, show the relationship between entrepreneurship as a learning method to develop personal skills and responsibility. The rise of entrepreneurship and its establishment has caused some educational centers to include this topic in their training programs, either for their administration programs or transversally in all their programs, in order to promote their students and future graduates being entrepreneurs in forming their own companies.
Post-synthetic ligand exchange as a route to improve the affinity of ZIF-67 towards CO2
The Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework 67 (ZIF-67) is a highly promising material owing to its exceptional thermal stability, large specific surface area, cost-effectiveness, and versatile applications. One of the potential applications of ZIF-67 is gas separation processes, among which the separation of CO2/CH4 mixtures has attracted great interest nowadays in the biogas sector. However, when it comes to CO2/CH4 separation, ZIF-67 falls short as it lacks the desired selectivity despite its high adsorption capacity. This limitation arises from its relatively low affinity towards CO2. In this study, we have addressed this issue by partially exchanging the ligand of ZIF-67, specifically replacing 2-methylimidazole with 1,2,4 (1H) triazole, which introduces an additional nitrogen atom. This modification resulted in ZIF-67 showing significantly enhanced affinity towards CO2 and, as a result, greater selectivity towards CO2 over CH4. The modified materials underwent thorough characterization using various techniques, and their adsorption capacity was evaluated through high-pressure adsorption isotherms. Furthermore, their separation performance was assessed using the Ideal Solution Adsorption Theory, which provided valuable insights into their potential for efficient gas separation.Financial support from Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (Spain, PID2020-116998RB-I00) is gratefully acknowledged.
