    An evaluation of small businesses in Iran

    As one of the most important and fundamental issues, employment is an indicator of development and welfare in any country. Due to the rapid growth of population over the past decades in Iran, investigating unemployment and the obstacles hindering employment is of paramount importance. In this study, a questionnaire was used and a group of experts were interviewed in order to identify four groups of legal, economic, social as well as individual factors, which could improve or hinder the growth of small businesses and self-employment. In this paper, having determined the factors influencing the expansion or downsizing the small businesses, the entrepreneurs, agents supporting small businesses, and the members of employment groups in Mazandaran Province, Iran rated the four categories. Finally, the most important growth factors or challenges faced by small businesses from the three aforementioned perspectives were compared

    Stock Price Changes and Trading Volume In Companies Accepted at the Tehran Stock Exchange

    The purpose of the present research is to investigate the relationship between stock price changes and trading volume in companies accepted at the Tehran Stock Exchange. The trading volume describes the consistency and accuracy of the price. In fact, any study that would not consider trading volume along with price changes, is not taking into account the price accuracy. Therefore, after a comprehensive review of the subject in the relevant literature, tests of variables correlation were conducted on samples of 70 companies in three high transaction industries. The results indicated that there are correlations in market structure. Trade frequency, the number of traded stocks and daily price changes, had positive correlations with one another. These correlations also exist in the interval of one day. So the price changes are caused by trade frequency and the number of stocks traded the day before. Furthermore, the price changes follow ascending or descending trends during consecutive days

    Introduction: Science systems are changing worldwide in response to increasing social and economic needs for knowledge and technology. Entrepreneurial university theory is a model for explaining the new transformed face of universities. The main purpose of present study was to explain the entrepreneurial capacity and culture in Babol University of Medical Sciences through Fuzzy Analysis Method. Methods: This was a descriptive study. The statistical population consisted of faculty members, university entrepreneurship specialists and administrators of Babol University of Medical Sciences in 2013. Gibb`s Entrepreneurial University questionnaire, after verifying its validity and reliability was used to collect data. The data were analyzed using fuzzy analysis method. Results: The findings showed that the status of entrepreneurial culture and capacity in Babol University of Medical Sciences was inappropriate. This included vision, mission and strategy of university, governance and administration, structure and organizational design, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary, leverage and employing various resources public values and stakeholders management alumni knowledge transfer Incubation center, venture funding in university spin-off companies, internationalization, and entrepreneurial education. Conclusion: On the path toward becoming an entrepreneurial university, especially for universities of medical sciences, it is necessary that universities go through substantial changes in terms of structural, managerial, and cultural dimensions, and pave the way to serve new functions by developing necessary infrastructures

    Effective Factors on Entrepreneurship Education Knowledge Based Business in Accelerators Based on Academic Growth Centers

    The purpose of this study was to identify entrepreneurship education indices of knowledge based businesses in accelerators based on university growth centers. The purpose of this research is applied and developmental in terms of purpose. In this method, the research method is descriptive-survey and correlation type. Fuzzy Delphi method was used for doing research. The research decision team consists of 32 people who are selected by experts and academic masters who specialize in entrepreneurship, with features such as availability, experience, fitness, doctoral or postgraduate degrees, university employment, research background, and compilation. This field has been selected. Fuzzy Delphi method has been used to identify entrepreneurship education indices and entrepreneurship education indices have been measured by factor analysis. The results of the research showed eleven indices: university relationship with industry, facilities, training courses, academic course contents, alumni community activities, research system, processes and working methods, structural factors, developmental factors, behavioral factors and financial system, As the most important indicators of entrepreneurship education, knowledge based businesses have been introduced into accelerators based on academic growth centers

    In the technology-based industries, such as pharmaceutical industry, the success of the companies depends on their ability to provide new and continuous innovations to the market. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of information technology capabilities on the performance of organizations in the pharmaceutical industry in Iran. The research method in this study is survey type and a random sampling method has been used. According to the statistics provided by the Ministry of Health of Iran, there are over 170 active pharmaceutical and chemical companies (chemical and plant) in the country. The population of the study includes all the internal, production, human resources, marketing and sales managers in these 170 companies. They were estimated to be around 746, from which 254 were selected as the sample. The main findings of this research are: 1- The technological capabilities are proved effective on three supply chain approaches of purity, resilience, and agility. 2- Those three supply chain approaches (purity, resilience, and agility) have a positive effect on organizational performance
