The retail industry in India is expected to grow at a rate of 14% by 2013. The first step towards allowing Foreign Direct Investment in Retail was taken in the year 2006. Since then 54 FDI approvals have been accepted by the government and the country has received cash inflow to the tune of about Rs 901.64 crore. Retailing consists of all business activities involving the sale of goods and services to ultimate consumers. Retailing involves a retailers traditionally a store or a service establishment, dealing with consumers who are acquiring goods and services for their own use rather than for resale. Wal-Mart, The Limited, Best Buy and other familiar organizations are retailers. Retailing is based more on whether the business deals directly with public. Retail banking, service stations local coffee shops are also retailers with the emergence of online retailing, retailers are no longer concerned about location of stores. E-retailing has emerged. Consumers are always hungry for modern ways of shopping. Indian retail sector is growing fast and its employment potential is growing fast. The retail scene is changing really fast. Retailers are rethinking their approaches towards the suppliers so that they can get the best pricing strategies for them. Retail sector in India is also catalyst for the growth of staling tactics of below the line marketing used by major retail players like Spencer, big bazaar, reliance fresh etc. For tapping customers by creating points of sales displays. So we can say that India is a rising star and going to be one of the fastest growing regions of the future. Key words: Foreign direct Investment, Retailing, GDP, Multinationals, Policies, and infrastructure development

Foreign Direct Investment in India and Its Economic Significance In Relation To Development of Various Sectors

This paper investigates the impact of foreign direct investment and policies on economic development of various sectors of the economy by considering factors affecting FDI, and includes comparative analysis with the help of statistics relating to sectors attracting highest FDI equity inflows for the financial years 2008-09 to 2010-11. One of the most liberal policies for foreign investment and technology transfer is followed by India. Foreign investment gives the Indian industry a chance for technological up gradation, access to global managerial skills and practices, optimum utilization of human capital and natural resources, and to compete efficiently in the international market. FDI is vital for India's integration with the universal production chains that are engaged by various multinationals across the world. FDI is vital for India's integration with the universal production chains that are engaged by various multinationals across the world. There is a mountain of cash available in the world financial markets, some of which is awaiting Indian government signal to flood in. A few rules and policy changes have to be made before the floodgate is open. This money will also bring with it foreign participation, which is sorely needed for this very complex and highly technical sector. FDI has transformed China. It will do the same to India. The question is what is the delay. The first and foremost is to understand bureaucratically how to manage the FDI in the infrastructure sector and how to pay it back with export earnings

Fiber reinforced plastics have been widely used for manufacturing aircraft and spacecraft structural parts because of their particular mechanical and physical properties such as high specific strength and high specific stiffness. The present investigation was undertaken to determine the influence of Resin & Thickness of Laminates on glass fiber Epoxy, graphite fiber Epoxy and Carbon fiber Epoxy laminates with glass fiber Polyester, graphite fiber polyester and carbon fiber polyester resin under 3- point bend test. the composite laminate specimens are prepared using the vacuum baggage technique and the specimen are subjected to 3 point bending load on a simply supported pins and the investigation is carried out as per the ASTM D790 standards. Flexural properties evaluated are flexural strength and stiffness of the composites system appropriate conclusions was drawn. The purpose of this work is to experimentally analyze the progressive failure process of laminated composites subjected to flexural loads, Flexural loading causes stresses in the composites, which vary through the thickness and reinforcement material used. This research indicates that Flexural strength is mainly dependent on the Type of Resin used & thickness of laminated polymer composite

The use of composites in the aerospace industry has increased dramatically. Primary benefits that composite components can offer are reduced weight and assembly simplification. The performance advantages associated with reducing the weight of aircraft structural elements has been the major impetus for military aviation composites development. Although commercial carriers have increasingly been concerned with fuel economy, the potential for reduced production and maintenance costs has proven to be a major factor in the push towards composites. The results of tensile tests are used in selecting materials for engineering applications and are frequently includ ed in material specifications to ensure quality. Tensile properties often are measured during development of new materials and processes, so that different materials and processes can be compared. The present investigation was undertaken to determine the in fluence of Resin & Thickness of Laminates on glass fiber Epoxy, graphite fiber Epoxy and Carbon fiber Epoxy laminates with glass fiber Polyester, graphite fiber polyester and carbon fiber polyester resin under Tensile loads

Synaptic Network Activity Induces Neuronal Differentiation of Adult Hippocampal Precursor Cells through BDNF Signaling

Adult hippocampal neurogenesis is regulated by activity. But how do neural precursor cells in the hippocampus respond to surrounding network activity and translate increased neural activity into a developmental program? Here we show that long-term potentiation (LTP)-like synaptic activity within a cellular network of mature hippocampal neurons promotes neuronal differentiation of newly generated cells. In co-cultures of precursor cells with primary hippocampal neurons, LTP-like synaptic plasticity induced by addition of glycine in Mg2+-free media for 5 min, produced synchronous network activity and subsequently increased synaptic strength between neurons. Furthermore, this synchronous network activity led to a significant increase in neuronal differentiation from the co-cultured neural precursor cells. When applied directly to precursor cells, glycine- and Mg2+-free solution did not induce neuronal differentiation. Synaptic plasticity-induced neuronal differentiation of precursor cells was observed in the presence of GABAergic neurotransmission blockers but was dependent on NMDA-mediated Ca2+ influx. Most importantly, neuronal differentiation required the release of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) from the underlying substrate hippocampal neurons as well as TrkB receptor phosphorylation in precursor cells. This suggests that activity-dependent stem cell differentiation within the hippocampal network is mediated via synaptically evoked BDNF signaling

AIM OF THE STUDY : Aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of Diode LASER ablation in the treatment of oral leukoplakia MATERIALS AND METHODS : We started our study with an aim to evaluate the efficacy of Diode LASER in treating patients with oral leukoplakia. We selected thirty patients who were clinically and histopathologically diagnosed as leukoplakia. The patients were grouped into two: one group of 15 patients who were managed using conventional antioxidants and another group of 15 treated using Diode LASER. Salivary antioxidants were evaluated in the pre-treated period and also after three months follow up. RESULTS : We could find that there was complete resolution of lesion with minimum patient discomfort in the patients treated with Diode LASER. There was statistically significant difference in the salivary antioxidants levels between pre-treatment period and after three months follow up period. This difference was noted in patients treated with antioxidants and Diode LASER. CONCLUSION : Diode LASER is superior to antioxidant therapy in the treatment of oral leukoplakia regarding clinical wound healing and resolution of the lesion. Salivary antioxidants, SOD and GSH can be considered as a valuable marker for knowing the treatment outcome and prognosis. We conclude here by emphasizing the need of further research in the field of oral potentially malignant lesions and salivary biomarkers

We focus on how you can release major updates to that customer as much as possible, and we suggest a new model called Cloud Storage Audit with verifiable outsourcing for major updates. Within this model, major updates can be outsourced safely to authorized parties, so the important thing throughout the customer is that downloading the update is being saved very little. Moreover, the design gives us the ability to verify the validity of the encrypted secret keys issued by the OA. Specifically, we employ external auditors in current general audit designs; allow it to act as a delegated party in our position, and is also responsible for secure audits and major key updates to resist key detection. When the cloud downloads new files, the client should download the encrypted password only in OA. The licensed party maintains the encrypted secret key from the client for cloud storage audit and updates the encrypted status every time. The client downloads the encrypted password to the authorized authority and encrypts it exactly as it would like to upload new files to the cloud. In our design, only the agriculture authority should keep the encrypted form of the customer's secret key. In our design, only the agriculture authority should keep the encrypted form of the customer's secret key. We formalize the meaning and type of security in this form
