Darstellung und Charakterisierung von HTSL-Systemen unter besonderer Beruecksichtigung chemischer Gesichtspunkte Schlussbericht

Starting from the system Ba_1_-_xK_xBiO_3 bismuthates with compositions (Ba,Sr)_1_-_xK_xBiO_3, Ba_1_-_x(K,Rb)_xBiO_3, Ba_1_-_x(K,Cs)_xBiO_3, Ba_1_-_x(K,Na)_xBiO_3 and Ba_1_-_x(Rb,Cs)_xBiO_3 have been synthesized by application of a new precursor technique. The compounds cristallize in the space group Pm3m (perovskite) or distorted perovskite structure. The use of cation pairs of equal valence (Ba/Sr, K/Na, K/Rb, K/Cs and Rb/Cs) allowed the synthesis of mixed cyrstal systems, where a variation of the lattice parameters with constant concentration of charge carriers took place. The investigation of the superconducting properties showed that the transition temperature correlates strongly with the lattice parameter (T_c decreases with increasing lattice parameter). The same dependence was found for the volume fraction of the Meissner phase and the critical current density j_c. IR-absorption measurement indicated that the compounds are bipolaron superconductors. Helicobacter pylori infection of humans is so old that its population genetic structure re ects that of ancient human migrations. Origins and genetics of H. pylori in Africa are not well described. It is not clear how di erent waves of human migrations in Africa have contributed to the evolution of strain diversity of H. pylori. The objective of our study was to learn these issues by studying the genetic origins of H. pylori in Sudan and their comparison to global isolates. We used multilocus sequence typing (MLST) of 7 housekeeping genes (atpA, efp, ureI, ppa, mutY, trpC, yphC). We de ned a new population, hspEastAfrica, which predominates in all Sudanese strains, irrespective of geographic or ethnic origin. Our observations suggest the origin of ancestral H. pylori (hsp-Europe) in the Sudan, which is in agreement with an out of Africa migration. Despite several back migrations to Sudan, the hspEastAfrica remained dominant while other ancestral population only contributed minimally. This could possibly be due to a matrilocal social pattern.
