Desolvation and phase transitions of silver dimesylaminide hydrate

    No full text
The hydrate complex of silver dimesylaminide was thoroughly investigated with several thermoanalytic methods. Especially the dynamic X-ray powder diffractometry yielded fundamental insights into the phase system of silver dimesylaminide - water. Beside the water evolution, which starts at 120°C, two phase transitions occur at 150°C and 174°C. These three overlapping processes rendered the investigation difficult. Whereas the higher order phase transition at 150°C is fully reversible (enan- tiotropic), the phase transition at 174°C seems to be irreversible (monotropic)
