contraflow operation are considered. Such a complex problem has yet to be discussed in the present literature. In this paper, we present a multipleobjective optimization model for this problem and a two-layer algorithm to solve this model. Characterization of cortex and white matter injury in a mild hypoxic-ischemic neonatal rat mode by diffusion tensor MR imaging
Animal Studies: Diffusion & Perfusion - Poster presentationWe evaluated hypoxic-ischemic (HI) induced cortex and white matter (WM) damage in a mild HI neonatal rat model at 24h post HI by diffusion tensor MR imaging (DTI) and correlated the DTI indices with histological evaluations. Results showed that significantly decreased FA and ¦Ë// reflected HI induced astrogliosis in the injured cortex, whereas significantly decreased FA with increased ¦Ë¡Í indicated dysmyelination in the WM. Study of malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities in chickens infected with avian infectious bronchitis virus
This study was carried out to investigate the changes of serum oxidative index in chickens infected with avian infectious bronchitis virus. Eighty (80) 15-day-old chickens were divided into two groups randomly: the control group and the experimental group. Birds in the experimental group were inoculated with infectious bronchitis virus, then the superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities and malondialdehyde (MDA) contents in the serum were detected in each group at days 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 post infection, respectively. Results showed that SOD and GSH-Px activities in the serum of the experiment group decreased after infection (P<0.05 or P<0.01). MDA contents of the experiment group increased after infection, and was significantly higher than those of the control group at days 6 and 9 post infection (P<0.01). The results implied that oxidative damage may regulate the occurrence and development of avian infectious bronchitis.Key words: Avian infectious bronchitis, superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), malondialdehyde (MDA)
The interactive bending wrinkling behaviour of inflated beams
ArticleA model is proposed based on a Fourier series method to analyse the interactive bending wrinkling behaviour of inflated beams. The whole wrinkling evolution is tracked and divided into three stages by identifying the bifurcations of the equilibrium path. The critical wrinkling and failure moments of inflated beam are then able to be predicted. The global-local interactive buckling pattern is elucidated by the proposed theoretical model and also verified by non-contact experimental tests. The effects of geometric parameters, internal pressure and boundary conditions on the buckling of inflated beams are investigated in the end. Results reveal that the interactive buckling characteristics of inflated beam under bending are more sensitive to the dimensions of the structure and boundary conditions. We find that beams which are simply supported at both ends or clamped and simply supported boundary conditions may prevent the wrinkling formation. The results provide significant support for our understanding of the bending-wrinkling behaviour of inflated beams.This work is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China,

On domain modelling of the service system with its application to enterprise information systems
Information systems are a kind of service systems and they are throughout every element of a modern industrial and business system, much like blood in our body. Types of information systems are heterogeneous because of extreme uncertainty in changes in modern industrial and business systems. To effectively manage information systems, modelling of the work domain (or domain) of information systems is necessary. In this paper, a domain modelling framework for the service system is proposed and its application to the enterprise information system is outlined. The framework is defined based on application of a general domain modelling tool called function-context-behaviour-principle-state-structure (FCBPSS). The FCBPSS is based on a set of core concepts, namely: function, context, behaviour, principle, state and structure and system decomposition. Different from many other applications of FCBPSS in systems engineering, the FCBPSS is applied to both infrastructure and substance systems, which is novel and effective to modelling of service systems including enterprise information systems. It is to be noted that domain modelling of systems (e.g. enterprise information systems) is a key to integration of heterogeneous systems and to coping with unanticipated situations facing to systems.postprin
Quantum theory of light diffraction
At present, the theory of light diffraction only has the simple wave-optical
approach. In this paper, we study light diffraction with the approach of
relativistic quantum theory. We find that the slit length, slit width, slit
thickness and wave-length of light have affected to the diffraction intensity
and form of diffraction pattern. However, the effect of slit thickness on the
diffraction pattern can not be explained by wave-optical approach, and it can
be explained in quantum theory. We compare the theoretical results with single
and multiple slits experiment data, and find the theoretical results are
accordance with the experiment data. Otherwise, we give some theory prediction.
We think all the new prediction will be tested by the light diffraction
