Claudine Herzlich: From the organic System to social norm: practitioners in a « Balint-Group ». After a two years' observation of the functioning of a « Balint-Group », Claudine Herzlich deals with the problem of social norm which the practitioner, owing to his position as an expert, authorizes or not to infringe, (the power of the practitioner becoming here power to authorize) and demonstrates its articulation with the notion of pleasure. Beyond the specificities of a therapeutic relation which poses the problem of the future evolution of that type of practices, this survey proves there is no unique and monolithic medical discourse, and shows how much medicine is open to trends of influence and changes of values in whole society.Claudine Herzlich : Du système organique à la norme sociale : des médecins dans un « Groupe Balint ». Claudine Herzlich : Patiententypen und Arbeitsweise des Krankenhauses. Die vorliegende Abhandlung beruht auf der Beobachtung der Arbeitsweise zweier AbteHungen (medizinische und chirurgische Abteilung) der öffentlichen Pariser Krankenhaiiser. Es wird versucht, die Entwicklung der medizinischen Praxis im Krankenhaus zu analysieren und festzustellen, wie verschiedene Patiententypen aufgenommen werden. Besonderen Wert legt der Verfasser auf die Beziehungen zwischen den Prozessen der medizinischen Spezialisierung einerseits, und andererseits 1) der Auswahl der Kranken und der Bildung von zwei Patiententypen, und 2) der Strategie der Beziehungen, die zwischen dem Arzt, dem Krankenhaus und dem gesamten medizinischen Bereich entsteht.Claudine Herzlich : Категории клиентов и деятельность больничных институций. Предлагаемое исследование основывается на наблюдениях сделанных в двух больничных отделах (общая медицина и хирургия) общественного презрения города Парижа. Анализируется эволюция врачебной практики в больницах, а также условия приема в больницы разной катерогии клиентов. Особенно исследование старается подчеркнуть существующее соотношение между процессами врачебной специализации и во 1) селективностью в приеме больных и составе двух категорий больничных клиентов; во 2) стратегией отношений между врачем, больницей и общием полем деятельности в медицине.Claudine Herzlich : Types of Patients and Hospital Procedures. This study grew out of the observation of two hospital wards, Medicine and Surgery, at the Paris Assistance Publique. The author analyzes the development of medical practices at the hospital as well as the procedures for admitting different kinds of patients. In particular, the article brings to light the relation between medical specialization and: 1) selectivity in the recruitment of patients who happen to fall into two categories; 2) the strategy of relationships between the doctor, the hospital and the entire medical profession.Claudine Herzlich : Tipos de clientela y funcionamiento de la institución hospitalera. Se basa ese estudio en la observación del funcionamiento de dos servicios hospitaleros (medicína y cirugía) de la Assistance Publique de París. Se trata de analizar la evolución de práctica médica en el hospital, así como las modalidades de acogida de diferentes tipos de clientela hospitalera. Se esfuerza peculiarmente de evidenciar la relación que existe entre los procesos de especialización médica y, por una parte la selectividad del reclutamiento de los enfermos y la constitución de dos tipos de clientela hospitalera, por otra parte la estrategía de las relaciones que se establecen entre el médico, el hospital y el conjunto del campo médico.Herzlich Claudine. In this article, the author examines attitudes and practices concerning death and the dying, in the light of an analysis of the function of hospitals as an institution and of medical practice viewed as a process of producing death. She tries to show how death even though relegated to the hospital, remains nonetheless socialized.
