    Observation of Ξ›0b β†’ D+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’ and Ξ›0b β†’ D*+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’ decays

    The multihadron decays Ξ›0b β†’ D+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’ and Ξ›0b β†’ D*+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’ are observed in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fbβˆ’1, collected in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV by the LHCb detector. Using the decay Ξ›0b β†’ Ξ›+cΟ€+Ο€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’ as a normalisation channel, the ratio of branching fractions is measured to be B(Ξ›0bβ†’D+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’)B(Ξ›0bβ†’Ξ›0cΟ€+Ο€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’)Γ—B(D+β†’Kβˆ’Ο€+Ο€+)B(Ξ›0cβ†’pKβˆ’Ο€βˆ’)=(5.35Β±0.21Β±0.16)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The ratio of branching fractions for the Ξ›0b β†’ D*+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’ and Ξ›0b β†’ D+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’ decays is found to be B(Ξ›0bβ†’Dβˆ—+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’)B(Ξ›0bβ†’D+pΟ€βˆ’Ο€βˆ’)Γ—(B(Dβˆ—+β†’D+Ο€0)+B(Dβˆ—+β†’D+Ξ³))=(61.3Β±4.3Β±4.0)%
