2. Workshop on medical robotics. International Advanced Robotics Programme (IARP) Proceedings

The Second Workshop on Medical Robotics was initiated by representatives of Germany in order to achieve an international exchange of views and ideas in this new field of research. In the framework of the International Advanced Robotics Programme, the Research Center Karlsruhe, the Institute for Real-Time Computer Control Systems and Robotics at the University of Karlsruhe and the German Cancer Research Center at Heidelberg were responsible for the organization. The workshop is hosted by the German Cancer Research Center at Heidelberg on November 10-12, 1997. A total of 22 papers from 6 countries have been accepted for presentation. The Proceedings contain full papers of most contributions, giving an insight into the use, implementation, aims, and visions of Medical Robotics.
