Optimal eigenvalues estimate for the Dirac operator on domains with boundary
We give a lower bound for the eigenvalues of the Dirac operator on a compact
domain of a Riemannian spin manifold under the \MIT bag boundary condition.
The limiting case is characterized by the existence of an imaginary Killing
spinor.Comment: 10 page
Rigidity of compact Riemannian spin Manifolds with Boundary
In this article, we prove new rigidity results for compact Riemannian spin
manifolds with boundary whose scalar curvature is bounded from below by a
non-positive constant. In particular, we obtain generalizations of a result of
Hang-Wang \cite{hangwang1} based on a conjecture of Schroeder and Strake
\cite{schroeder}.Comment: English version of "G\'eom\'etrie spinorielle extrins\`eque et

Traumatic Experiences Resulting from Israeli Violations and their Relations with Behavioral Problems among Children of Al-Quds Governorate
The current study aims to identify the most significant traumatic experiences resulting from Israeli violations and the most common behavioral problems among children of Al-Quds governorate in addition to determining the nature of differences in the total score and the components of the traumatic experiences list, and behavioral problems scale attributable to sex . The sample consisted of (621) male and female student whose age ranged between (6-17) years, and (28) teachers working in the target schools ..The study findings revealed that (34.9%) of the subjects were exposed to traumatic experiences resulting from Israeli violations . Additionally, (65.9%) of the subjects suffered from behavioral problem. There were statistically significant differences among children in the total score and the dimensions of behavioral problems scale in favor of females. Key words: Traumatic experiences, Israeli violations, Behavioral problems
Determinants Of The Voluntary Formation Of A Company Audit Committee: Evidence From Palestine
Drawing on agency theory, this paper investigates the determinants of voluntary audit
committee (AC) formation among non-bank firms listed on the Palestine Stock Exchange
(PSE). We used the annual reports of nearly all non-bank companies listed on the PSE as
well as the company guides issued by the PSE for the period between 2010 and 2012.
Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the influence of a set of corporate
governance mechanisms, ownership structures and company characteristics on the
voluntary formation of ACs among non-bank Palestinian firms. The result of the analysis
demonstrated that the AC is influenced by foreign ownership, institutional ownership,
board diligence and external auditor type. This paper adds to the limited AC literature in
Middle Eastern countries in general and in the Arab World in particular. This paper not
only examines the determinants of the voluntary formation of ACs but also attempts to
theorise about this formation
Regression Analysis of Rectal Cancer and Possible Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Utilization in Radiotherapy
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been widely employed in the medical field in recent years in such areas as image segmentation, medical image registration, and computer-aided detection. This study explores one application of using AI in adaptive radiation therapy treatment planning by predicting the tumor volume reduction rate (TVRR). Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans of twenty rectal cancer patients were collected to observe the change in tumor volume over the course of a standard five-week radiotherapy treatment. In addition to treatment volume, patient data including patient age, gender, weight, number of treatment fractions, and dose per fraction were also collected. Application of a stepwise regression model showed that age, dose per fraction and weight were the best predictors for tumor volume reduction rate
Design of Operational Transconductance Amplifiers for voltage to current conversion in gas sensing applications
This paper presents a study of Operational Transconductance Amplifiers (OTAs) for voltage to current conversion circuits. The paper includes a comparative analysis of three OTA architectures implemented in 0.35\u3bcm CMOS AMS Technology under \ub1 1.65V power supply voltage. The impact of the OTA topology has been investigated by simulation. The designed OTAs managed to deliver large current values of 10mA and 1mA to the load with a worst-case error of 0.02% under worst-case power supply and temperature conditions and a worst percentage error of 0.12% under process variation for both Miller Compensated and Capacitor Multiplier Compensated OTA. \ua9 2016 AEIT
Nonexistence of Generalized Apparent Horizons in Minkowski Space
We establish a Positive Mass Theorem for initial data sets of the Einstein
equations having generalized trapped surface boundary. In particular we answer
a question posed by R. Wald concerning the existence of generalized apparent
horizons in Minkowski space
A Reilly formula and eigenvalue estimates for differential forms
We derive a Reilly-type formula for differential p-forms on a compact
manifold with boundary and apply it to give a sharp lower bound of the spectrum
of the Hodge Laplacian acting on differential forms of an embedded hypersurface
of a Riemannian manifold. The equality case of our inequality gives rise to a
number of rigidity results, when the geometry of the boundary has special
properties and the domain is non-negatively curved. Finally we also obtain, as
a by-product of our calculations, an upper bound of the first eigenvalue of the
Hodge Laplacian when the ambient manifold supports non-trivial parallel forms.Comment: 22 page
