Generalized - Model
By parameterizing the t-j model we present a new electron correlation model
with one free parameter for high-temperature superconductivity. This model is
of symmetry. The energy spectrums are shown to be modulated by
the free parameter in the model. The solution and symmetric structures of the
Hilbert space, as well as the Bethe ansatz approach are discussed for special

A lower bound of concurrence for multipartite quantum states
We study the concurrence of arbitrary multipartite mixed quantum states. An
explicit lower bound of the concurrence is derived, which detects quantum
entanglement of some states better than some separability criteria, and gives
sufficient conditions for distilling GHZ states from tripartite states. An
interesting relations between the lower bound of the concurrence for bipartite

Mesenchymal stem cells with overexpression of midkine enhance cell survival and attenuate cardiac dysfunction in a rat model of myocardial infarction
Introduction. Elevated midkine (MK) expression may contribute to ventricular remodeling and ameliorate cardiac dysfunction after myocardial infarction (MI). Ex vivo modification of signaling mechanisms in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with MK overexpression may improve the efficacy of cell-based therapy. This study sought to assess the safety and efficacy of MSCs with MK overexpression transplantation in a rat model of MI. Methods. A pLenO-DCE vector lentivirus encoding MK was constructed and infected in MSCs. MSC migration activity and cytoprotection was examined in hypoxia-induced H9C2 cells using transwell insert in vitro. Rats were randomized into five groups: sham, MI plus injection of phosphate buffered saline (PBS), MSCs, MSCs-green fluorescent protein (MSCs-GFP) and MSCs-MK, respectively. Survival rates were compared among groups using log-rank test and left ventricular function was measured by echocardiography at baseline, 4, 8 and 12 weeks. Results: Overexpression of MK partially prevented hypoxia-induced MSC apoptosis and exerted MSC cytoprotection to anoxia induced H9C2 cells. The underlying mechanisms may be associated with the increased mRNA and protein levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transformation growth factor-β (TGF-β), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) and stromal cell-derived factor 1 (SDF-1a) in MSCs-MK compared with isolated MSCs and MSCs-GFP. Consistent with the qPCR results, the culture supernatant of MSCs-MK had more SDF-1a (9.23 ng/ml), VEGF (8.34 ng/ml) and TGF-β1 (17.88 ng/ml) expression. In vivo, a greater proportion of cell survival was observed in the MSCs-MK group than in the MSCs-GFP group. Moreover, MSCs-MK administration was related to a significant improvement of cardiac function compared with other control groups at 12 weeks. Conclusions: Therapies employing MSCs with MK overexpression may represent an effective treatment for improving cardiac dysfunction and survival rate after MI
Local Equivalence of Rank-Two Quantum Mixed States
We investigate the equivalence of quantum mixed states under local unitary
transformations. For a class of rank-two mixed states, a sufficient and
necessary condition of local equivalence is obtained by giving a complete set
of invariants under local unitary transformations, such that two states in this
class are locally equivalent if and only if all these invariants have equal

Pion, Kaon, and (Anti-) Proton Production in Au+Au Collisions at \srt = 62.4 GeV
We report on preliminary results of pion, kaon, and (anti-) proton transverse
momentum spectra (-0.5 < y < 0) in Au+Au collisions at
GeV using the STAR detector at RHIC. The particle identification (PID) is
achieved by a combination of the STAR TPC and the new TOF detectors, which
allow a PID coverage in transverse momentum () up to 7 GeV/c for pions, 3

Rotation profiles of solar-like stars with magnetic fields
The aim of this work is to investigate rotation profile of solar-like stars
with magnetic fields. A diffusion coefficient of magnetic angular momentum
transport is deduced. Rotating stellar models with different mass are computed
under the effect of the coefficient. Then rotation profiles are obtained from
the theoretical stellar models. The total angular momentum of solar model with
only hydrodynamic instabilities is about 13 times larger than that of the Sun
at the age of the Sun, and this model can not reproduce quasi-solid rotation in
the radiative region. However, not only can the solar model with magnetic
fields reproduce an almost uniform rotation in the radiative region, but its
total angular momentum is consistent with helioseismic result at the level of 3
at the age of the Sun. The rotation of solar-like stars with magnetic
fields is almost uniform in the radiative region. But there is an obvious
transition region of angular velocity between the convective core and the
radiative region of models with 1.2 - 1.5 , where angular velocity
has a sharp radial change, which is different from the rotation profile of the
Sun and massive stars with magnetic fields. Moreover the changes of the angular
velocity in the transition region increase with the increasing in the age and

Examine the species and beam-energy dependence of particle spectra using Tsallis Statistics
Tsallis Statistics was used to investigate the non-Boltzmann distribution of
particle spectra and their dependence on particle species and beam energy in
the relativistic heavy-ion collisions at SPS and RHIC. Produced particles are
assumed to acquire radial flow and be of non-extensive statistics at
freeze-out. J/psi and the particles containing strangeness were examined
separately to study their radial flow and freeze-out. We found that the strange
hadrons approach equilibrium quickly from peripheral to central A+A collisions
and they tend to decouple earlier from the system than the light hadrons but
with the same final radial flow. These results provide an alternative picture
of freeze-outs: a thermalized system is produced at partonic phase; the
hadronic scattering at later stage is not enough to maintain the system in
equilibrium and does not increase the radial flow of the copiously produced
light hadrons. The J/psi in Pb+Pb collisions at SPS is consistent with early
decoupling and obtains little radial flow. The J/psi spectra at RHIC are also
inconsistent with the bulk flow profile.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures, added several references and some clarifications
