Proposal of a new method for e-banking authentication based on fingerprint reader

The paper presents a novel method/mechanism for electronic banking transactions authentication based on biometrics, using fingerprint reader. The method allows to identify the client not only by something that he has or knows, but who he is. Therefore, the proposed solution enhances security of transactions authentication by an additional factor of client identification - this kind of solution hasn't been currently used by banks in Poland so far. The article also presents that the application of an additional level of security is not associated with an increase of costs for banks but allows them to reduce them, especially for long-term relationships with customers

Analysis of cloud storage services to synchronize data with mobile devices used in enterprise

In the paper analysis of available, free Cloud Storage services for company/enterprise applications is presented. The choice of the most appropriate cloud service will be associated with such features as its compatibility in relation to the terms of use, data security, performance and stability. Performed analysis focuses on solutions which the license does not prohibit the use of their free version of the service for commercial purposes, in the company. An important factor, partly influencing for the choice, will also be intuitiveness, additional functionality and ease of use offered by client applications

Methods of calculation uncertainty in measurement

Obliczanie niepewności wyniku pomiaru jest jednym z podstawowych i ważniejszych zagadnień w metrologii. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono metody obliczania niepewności pomiaru opracowane i stosowane przez autorów, które pozostają w zgodnosci z zaleceniami organizacji metrologicznych. Osiągnięciem autorów, jest opracowanie sczegółowych algorytmów postepowania przy obliczaniu niepewności wyniku pomiaru. Autorzy stosują zarówno metody przybliżone jak i dokładne w oparciu o propagację niepewności i rozkładów stosując symulację Monte Carlo.Calculation of uncertainties is one of basic and very important problem in metrology. The methods for calculating the measurement uncertainty elaborated be authors are presented in the paper. Authors are using both: precise methods and estimated methods and both law of propagation uncertainty and propagation of distributions with an application of Monte Carlo simulation
