Die Beiträge dieses Bandes behandeln Aspekte der Verwaltungs-, Herrschafts-, Wirtschafts-, Sozial- und Kulturgeschichte Bambergs zwischen 1500 und 1800 und schließen damit einige der weißen Flecken auf der Landkarte der frühneuzeitlichen Stadt- und Regionalforschung. Zugleich werden aktuelle geschichtswissenschaftliche Fragestellungen und Konzepte empirisch erprobt.
