Ces\`aro summability of Taylor series in higher order weighted Dirichlet type spaces
For a positive integer and a finite non-negative Borel measure on
the unit circle, we study the Hadamard multipliers of higher order weighted
Dirichlet-type spaces . We show that if

Cosmic optical activity from an inhomogeneous Kalb-Ramond field
The effects of introducing a harmonic spatial inhomogeneity into the
Kalb-Ramond field, interacting with the Maxwell field according to a
`string-inspired' proposal made in earlier work are investigated. We examine in
particular the effects on the polarization of synchrotron radiation from
cosmologically distant (i.e. of redshift greater than 2) galaxies, as well as
the relation between the electric and magnetic components of the radiation
field. The rotation of the polarization plane of linearly polarized radiation
is seen to acquire an additional contribution proportional to the square of the
frequency of the dual Kalb-Ramond axion wave, assuming that it is far smaller
compared to the frequency of the radiation field.Comment: 9 pages, Revtex, no figure
The global burden of cancer attributable to risk factors, 2010-19 : a systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019
Background Understanding the magnitude of cancer burden attributable to potentially modifiable risk factors is crucial for development of effective prevention and mitigation strategies. We analysed results from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2019 to inform cancer control planning efforts globally. Methods The GBD 2019 comparative risk assessment framework was used to estimate cancer burden attributable to behavioural, environmental and occupational, and metabolic risk factors. A total of 82 risk-outcome pairs were included on the basis of the World Cancer Research Fund criteria. Estimated cancer deaths and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) in 2019 and change in these measures between 2010 and 2019 are presented. Findings Globally, in 2019, the risk factors included in this analysis accounted for 4.45 million (95% uncertainty interval 4.01-4.94) deaths and 105 million (95.0-116) DALYs for both sexes combined, representing 44.4% (41.3-48.4) of all cancer deaths and 42.0% (39.1-45.6) of all DALYs. There were 2.88 million (2.60-3.18) risk-attributable cancer deaths in males (50.6% [47.8-54.1] of all male cancer deaths) and 1.58 million (1.36-1.84) risk-attributable cancer deaths in females (36.3% [32.5-41.3] of all female cancer deaths). The leading risk factors at the most detailed level globally for risk-attributable cancer deaths and DALYs in 2019 for both sexes combined were smoking, followed by alcohol use and high BMI. Risk-attributable cancer burden varied by world region and Socio-demographic Index (SDI), with smoking, unsafe sex, and alcohol use being the three leading risk factors for risk-attributable cancer DALYs in low SDI locations in 2019, whereas DALYs in high SDI locations mirrored the top three global risk factor rankings. From 2010 to 2019, global risk-attributable cancer deaths increased by 20.4% (12.6-28.4) and DALYs by 16.8% (8.8-25.0), with the greatest percentage increase in metabolic risks (34.7% [27.9-42.8] and 33.3% [25.8-42.0]). Interpretation The leading risk factors contributing to global cancer burden in 2019 were behavioural, whereas metabolic risk factors saw the largest increases between 2010 and 2019. Reducing exposure to these modifiable risk factors would decrease cancer mortality and DALY rates worldwide, and policies should be tailored appropriately to local cancer risk factor burden. Psychosocial and Behavioral Problems in School Going Adolescents of Urban Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
Introduction: Adolescence has been identified as a period in which young people develop abstract thinking abilities, become more aware of their sexuality, develop a clearer sense of psychological identity and increase their independence from parents. Adolescence is a period of immense behavioral, psychological, social changes and challenges. Objectives: To quantify the proportion of different psychosocial and behavioral problems as perceived among adolescents and to find the behavioral problems, psychosocial problems, sexual orientation, drug abuse, physical problems, etc., among them.Materials and Methods: This was a community-based mixed method study conducted in schools situated in the field practice area of Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal.Study Population: The study population consisted of high and higher secondary school adolescents of class 10th, 11th and 12th including those who were present on the days of study.Study Period: Study was undertaken from the month of August 2015 to October 2015 for a period of three months.Sample Size: The total adolescents for selected schools were 615 out of which a sample of 530 was selected using convenient sampling.Statistical Analysis: Data were entered into MS excel; analysis was done with the help of Epi-Info-7 software. The procedures involved were preliminary data inspection, content analysis, and interpretation. Frequency and percentage were calculated. Results: The mean age of all the respondents was 16.42, ranging from 15 to 17 years. Most of the adolescent males perceived stress followed by depression to be the major mental problems in their routine life, while the females faced loneliness followed by anxiety as major psychological problem. The adolescents prefer education (29.81%) as their first priority followed by making career (29.62%) ranked as two. The male respondents admitted body built (38.71%) and beard problems (30.97%) major physical and sexual concern. The female respondents admitted body built and breast size to be their major physical and sexual concern. The various challenges faced by the adolescents include peer pressure (41.12%) which appeared to be the top most challenges faced by them. Among the adolescents, conflicted relationship with parents and generation gap were the biggest reason for problems in their family
DABCO- and DBU-promoted one-pot reaction of N-sulfonyl ketimines with Morita–Baylis–Hillman carbonates: a sequential approach to (2-hydroxyaryl)nicotinate derivatives
An intriguing DABCO-catalyzed and DBU-promoted one-pot synthesis of an important class of (2-hydroxyaryl)pyridine derivatives bearing a carboxylate or a nitrile group suitably placed at C3 position of the aza-ring has been achieved in acceptable chemical yields with a broad functional group tolerance. This sequential C–C/C–N bond making process proceeds through a regioselective allylic alkylation/aza-Michael reaction between MBH carbonates derived from an acrylate/acrylonitrile and N-sulfonyl ketimines as C,N-binucleophiles catalyzed by DABCO, followed by elimination of SO2 under the influence of base and subsequent aromatization in an open atmosphere
