Objective To investigate physical development level of preschool children from Zhag’yab County in Tibet, aiming to provide reference for improving the nutritional status of children in this region. Methods In this cross-sectional study, the height and weight of children aged 3-6 years old from Zhag’yab County in Tibet were measured. The nutritional status was evaluated according to the WHO child growth standards. Results The overall prevalence rates of malnutrition, stunting, underweight and wasting were 22.6%, 13.0%, 10.9% and 10.0%, respectively. The differences between urban and rural areas were statistically significant (all P <0.05). No statistical significance was observed among different age groups (all P > 0.05). Conclusion In Zhag’yab County, the physical development level of preschool children is poor and the malnutrition rate is relatively high. Significant difference can be noted between urban and rural areas. Extensive attention should be paid to scientific feeding and children health, especially in rural area

A central issue in the history of Chinese psychology is whether the history of ancient psychological thought and the development of modern Chinese psychology, with its Western origins, are disconnected intellectual endeavors. This chapter offers a brief account of change and continuity in Chinese psychology from about 550 bc to 1980. It highlights some ancient thinkers and observers, and their accomplishments. It also introduces the landmarks and pioneers of modern Chinese psychology in various sociopolitical contexts. In this account, the central issue presents itself as having been intertwined and integrated over time with Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, yīn yáng wᅭxíng theory, heart-central theory, and later dialectical materialism in the Chinese pursuit of a unified dialectical explanation of human behaviors

Abstract. In this paper, we propose a mixed spectral method for the Navier-Stokes equations in an infinite strip by using generalized Laguerre functions. We establish some results on mixed generalized Laguerre-Legendre approximation, which play important roles in spectral method for fourth order differential equations. A mixed spectral scheme is provided for stream function form of the Navier-Stokes equations. Its stability and convergence are proved. Numeric results demonstrate the efficiency of suggested algorithm. Key words. A nonlinear Burgers model is used to describe vertical infiltration of water into a nonswelling soil with prescribed concentration conditions at the boundary. The exact solution is constructed in terms of a series involving complementary error integrals
