Sustainable last mile in e-commerce: a literature review
The interest in last mile, considered the most important factor in e-commerce, has grown as online sales have increased. This interest has been reflected in the literature. However, there is not an overview of this whole research field. The purpose of this article is to provide a complete view of the topics in the field of sustainable last mile in e-commerce. To achieve this, a literature review was carried out in which 58 articles were identified. Afterwards, these papers were classified according to their topic and research method, providing a complete vision of the field of analysis. As a result, 11 topics were identified, the most studied being the Quantification of the effect on sustainability of the last mile in e-commerce. In addition, four future lines for research were established
Anthropometric measures as predictive indicators of metabolic risk in a population of “holy week costaleros”
Preventive measures are a priority in those groups that perform intense physical efforts without physical preparation and that can also be overweight or obese. One of the groups that reflect these characteristics is the costaleros of the Holy Week of Andalusia, Spain. This paper aims to describe the effect of obesity on blood pressure. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 101 costaleros. The anthropometric measures were determined through segmental impedance. Cardiac
recovery and anaerobic power were measured through the Ruffier–Dickson test and the Abalakov test, respectively. Blood pressure was measured when the individuals were at rest. The Kruskal–Wallis test was applied for of continuous parameters and the X2 test for dichotomous measures. Binary logistic regression models were used for the subsequent analysis with R-square and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves. The average population was 28 years of age, 173.7 cm tall, and 82.59 Kg weigh. The excess of body fat was 11.27 Kg and Body Mass Index was 27.33 Kg/m2. 72.3% showed abnormal blood pressure and 68.2% were overweight. 32.7% had a waist-hip ratio higher than 0.94. The probability of presenting abnormal blood pressure was higher among the subjects whose fat content was higher and muscle content was lower
Seasonal and vertical dynamics in the trophic structure of a temperate zooplankton assemblage
We determined the stable nitrogen isotope composition (δ15N values) and body size of taxonomic groups in a zooplankton community in the Cantabrian Sea (southern Bay of Biscay) to explore seasonal and depth (0–2000 m) variations in the size‐based trophic structure and their coupling to the production cycle. The positive linear relationship between δ15N values and log‐transformed body size reflects the dominance of new vs. regenerated production. The slope of the relationship (b) is high during productive periods and low when herbivory declines and the food web is more dependent on recycled production. This variation can be attributed to high δ15N values of the smallest plankton after repetitive cycles of microbial degradation. Downward transport of organic matter after the spring phytoplankton bloom was captured by a steady variation from low values of b at the surface to high values at the bathypelagic zone, where the imprint of the spring production pulse could be detected. Variation in b reveals that the mesopelagic and bathypelagic zooplankton communities are as dynamic as their epipelagic counterparts. This shows the efficiency of δ15N vs. body size relationships to capture fast, transient ecosystem processes without need for lengthy incubations or complex rate measurements
Synthesis of Diarylamines and Methylcarbazoles and Formal Total Synthesis of Alkaloids Ellipticine and Olivacine
New and efficient strategies for the conversion of 4-oxazolin-2-ones into 1-methyl and 1,4-dimethyl 3-formylcarbazoles are herein described. Highly convergent cascade and one-pot processes afforded the corresponding diarylamines, as in situ formed synthetic intermediates or final products in high overall yields. Special attention was given to the synthesis of methylated carbazoles by reacting 4,5-dimethyl-4-oxazolin-2-ones with enones under microwave irradiation. The carbazole scaffold was provided by the palladium(II)-catalyzed double C−H activation to generate oxidative cyclization of diarylamines. This methodology allowed for formal total syntheses of four naturally occurring pyrido[4,3-b]carbazole alkaloids ellipticine, 9-methoxyellipticine, olivacine, and 9-methoxyolivacine.Secretaría de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados de la UAEMex.

PLAN DE CUIDADOS ENFERMEROS VIH
Due to the great step forward in treatments, that improve quality and duration life in patients infected with HIV, and subsequently, the increase in the assisting demand of those patients; it is necessary that nursing professionals work with models and systems that improve the assisting quality we provide. For that reason, we have created a standard plan of specific care for those patients where possible nursing diagnoses are included, as well as, results and interventions.
Taking taxonomic criteria NANDA –NIC- NOC, as basis, a plan has been set up. In daily practice, the plan is executed reflecting changes in results and interventions, as well as, the appearance of new diagnoses, if there were, during the stay at the hospital of each patient. In this sense, effectiveness is shown in the nursing activity, patient attitude before interventions and an adequate registration of the whole process.
The objective we have is to improve existing registrations and a better flow in communication tasks between health professional and other centers.
This paper presents a regional case study using a Bi-Regional Input-Output (BRIO) matrix of Buenos
Aires City (BAC) and the Rest of Argentina (ROA), constructed from the Argentinian Input-Output
matrix. A hybrid approach was applied to obtain the BRIO matrix, which combines pure non-survey
methods with matrix-balancing methods like RAS or Cross-Entropy. Once the BRIO matrix was obtained,
our study has focused on analyzing the BAC regional structure and the interconnections between regions.
We have also estimated the regional and national carbon footprint for the BAC and Argentina,
respectively. Results show that service and industry sectors play an important role in the economy of BAC
and some of them have strong interregional spillover effects over the rest of the country. In addition, the
results also show that sectors on BAC with the highest regional multipliers are also the ones with highest
emissions.
Geminivirus C2 protein represses genes involved in sulphur assimilation and this effect can be counteracted by jasmonate treatment
Geminiviruses are plant viruses that infect a broad range of crops and cause extensive losses worldwide, having an important economic impact. C2, a multifunctional pathogenicity factor encoded by geminiviruses, has been recently shown to suppress the responses to jasmonates in the host plant, which might at least partially explain its well-established role in pathogenicity. Sulphur is one of the essential macro-elements for plant life, and is considered to have a role in plant defence, in a phenomenon named sulphur-induced resistance (SIR) or sulphur-enhanced defence (SED). In this work, we show that geminivirus C2 protein represses the expression of genes involved in the sulphur assimilation pathway in Arabidopsis, but, interestingly, this effect can be neutralized by exogenous jasmonate treatment. These preliminary results may raise the idea that geminiviruses might be affecting sulphur metabolism, and maybe counteracting SIR/SED, through the manipulation of the jasmonate signalling pathway, which would define a novel strategy in plant-virus interactions and may unveil SIR/SED as an important player in the plant defence against viruses.Ministerio de Ciencia y Innovación/FEDER AGL2007-66062-C02-02/AGR AGL2010-22287-CO2European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) BIO2010-15201Junta de Andalucía BIO27
Hydrogen Sulfide Signaling in Plants: Emerging Roles of Protein Persulfidation
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been largely referred as a toxic gas and environmental hazard, but recent years, it has emerged as an important gas-signaling molecule with effects on multiple physiological processes in both animal and plant systems. The regulatory functions of H2S in plants are involved in important processes such as the modulation of defense responses, plant growth and development, and the regulation of senescence and maturation. The main signaling pathway involving sulfide has been proven to be through protein persulfidation (alternatively called S-sulfhydration), in which the thiol group of cysteine (-SH) in proteins is modified into a persulfide group (-SSH). This modification may cause functional changes in protein activities, structures, and subcellular localizations of the target proteins. New shotgun proteomic approaches and bioinformatic analyses have revealed that persulfidated cysteines regulate important biological processes, highlighting their importance in cell signaling, since about one in 20 proteins in Arabidopsis is persulfidated. During oxidative stress, an increased persulfidation has been reported and speculated that persulfidation is the protective mechanism for protein oxidative damage. Nevertheless, cysteine residues are also oxidized to different post-translational modifications such S-nitrosylation or S-sulfenylation, which seems to be interconvertible. Thus, it must imply a tight cysteine redox regulation essential for cell survival. This review is aimed to focus on the current knowledge of protein persulfidation and addresses the regulation mechanisms that are disclosed based on the knowledge from other cysteine modifications.
SummaryPatients with limit personality disorder or affective disorders often hinder the doctor-patient relationship due to their emotional conflicts. It is important that the Family Physician recognized in a timely manner such disorders and develop skills for communication and empathy; in order to promote a proper doctor-patient relationship and promptly refer the patient to a specialist. Thus this will prevent chronicity, iatrogenic and stigmatization of the patient, as well as frustration and a sense of helplessness of the medical team
Energy management strategy to coordinate batteries and ultracapacitors of a hybrid energy storage system in a residential prosumer installation
In recent years, power systems have experimented a great development as a consequence of the apparition of the distributed generation.
