Escobedo and Miranda Revisited
Shortly before the close of the 1983 term, the Supreme Court of the United States decided two cases, U.S. v. Gouveia and New York v. Quarles, which in effect overruled Escobedo v. Illinois and undermined Miranda v. Arizona
Viscoelastic Properties of Silicone, Polysulfide, and Polyether Impression Materials
The viscoelastic properties of nine silicone-, polysulfide-, and polyether-based impression materials were determined using creep tests. During deformation the materials demonstrated linear viscoelastic behavior. The creep compliance curves, recovery, and percent set were calculated. Permanent deformation in these materials is a result of lack of recovery of elastic deformation as well as viscous flow.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/66616/2/10.1177_00220345740530050301.pd
