The size of the values of the parameters that characterize the quality of the seed from the aspect of thephysiological and physical manifestation, has a very important role in the measures to improve the cultivation technologies for obtaining safe and superior harvests qualitatively and quantitatively, therefore it is necessary to promote a seed with high biological value, high production capacity, resistance to diseases, pests and stress conditions. The particularity of the seeds destined for sowing is that they can be kept in different forms for a longer period of time, offering the safety of production. Analysing the data by the size of the range and the size of the coefficient of variation (Cv) it can be seen that there are obvious differences between the variants, regarding the value of these indicators. There were large decreases in the values of the index the force registered in this stage "after 12 months", in the variant treated with fungicide + insecticide, except for Turda 200 and Turda Star hybrids

Mushrooms provide important sources of protein extracted from materials of very low economic value, such as manure, agricultural waste, forestry, wood industry.Cultivated mushrooms having a saprophyte diet are forced to feed their enzymes from decomposing organic substances.During the composting and pasteurization of the substrate, the proteinnitrogen is transformed into peptides and amino acids that are absorbed by mycelialhippocampal cells.Research has shown that there is a direct correlation between the total nitrogen content of the nutrient substrate (up to 2.7%), the production of mushrooms and the protein content of the mushrooms. In this study, four types of compost and three types of additional protein additions were investigated. The highest values of correlation coefficient (r = 0.88187) were obtained with the addition of3% wheat bran, additional protein supplement in the substrate

Role of stationary phase and eluent composition on the determination of log P values of N-hydroxyethylamide of aryloxyalkylen and pyridine carboxylic acids by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography

The partition coefficients, P, between n-octanol and water of a number of growth stimulating substances, N-hydroxyethylamide of aryloxyalkylen- and pyridine carboxylic acids were obtained from Pomona College (C log P), and Rekker's (log PRekker) revised fragmental constant system was used to calculate log P data sets. Both of these data sets were correlated with two different substance lipophilicity parameters, log kw and 0. Log kw was obtained by extrapolation of log retention factor (k) to 0% organic modifier measured in reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RPLC) systems. 0 values were obtained from the slopes and intercepts of these relationships. The RPLC experiments were performed on four commercially available reversed-phase columns. Binary mixtures of methanolā€“water, methanolā€“phosphate buffer (pH 7.0), methanolā€“tricine buffer (pH 7.0) and acetonitrileā€“water were used as mobile phases for the determination of log kw values. For the methanolic eluents linear regression provided satisfactory correlations (r>0.99) for the relationships log k vs. organic modifier content in the eluent, while for the acetonitrile-containing eluents a second-degree polynominal regression was necessary. For all four RPLC columns, by linear regression satisfactory correlations (r>0.99) were obtained between log kw and log P data using methanolic eluents. In such eluents 0 values were shown to be the second-best lipophilicity parameters. For acetonitrile-containing eluents the use of second-degree polynominal regression was necessary and, in contrast to methanol, significant influence of the applied column on regression results was observed. For acetonitrile-containing eluents the 0-index does not provide satisfactory results for our substances. No difference in regression results between the use of buffered and non-buffered eluents was observed

Attention to the significance of conventional medicine in the field of health and herbal research are valuable. Hippophae rhamnoides has been used in Chinese and Russian medicine for several decades. The research of medicinal plants has grown more and more, Hippophae rhamnoides being a very important plant, as it contains a biodiversity of both nutritional and medical constituents. Bioactive fruits are one of the most important sources of bioelements constituents, and are used as a nutritional and medicinal alternative. The chemical components give value to the products obtained from this miraculous plant. Sea buckthorn is a pure store of natural antioxidants, rich in flavonoids, glucosides, phenols, terpenes, vitamins E, A, C, B-carotene, and trace elements, including iron, zinc, manganese, very low molecular weight antioxidants, which neutralizes free radicals. The results regarding the soluble dry matter from fresh fruits are between 7.6-12.64%. Total sugar content between 5.57-10.61 mg/100g fresh substance
