Computation of error effects in nonlinear Hamiltonian systems using Lie algebraic methods

An improved and more general technique is described in Healy, Liam M.,Journal of Mathematical Physics, Vol. 42, pp. 698-712, "Computation of Lie transfer maps for perturbed Hamiltonian systems" (2001).There exist Lie algebraic methods for obtaining transfer maps around any given trajectory of a Hamiltonian system. This paper describes an iterative procedure for finding transfer maps around the same trajectory when the Hamiltonian is perturbed by small linear terms. Such terms often result when an actual system deviates from an ideal one due to errors. Two examples from accelerator physics are worked out. Comparisons with numerical computations, and in simple cases exact analytical calculations, demonstrate the validity of the procedure

All data is related to the Shakespeare and Company bookshop and lending library opened and operated by Sylvia Beach in Paris, 1919–1962. Version 1.1 adds two new fields and 1,290 events. Mistakes have been corrected and missing dates have been added. The two new fields provide the duration of borrowing events in days (when possible) and the source type or types of every event: lending library cards, logbooks, address books. To represent events that have multiple sources, three fields are now multivalued: source_citation, source_manifest, source_image. We added 859 addresses to the members dataset, seven books and 230 eBook links to the books dataset, and 1,290 events to the events dataset. We also reduced the number of members in the members dataset from 5726 to 5601 by merging records that belonged to the same member and removing mistaken records. In all three datasets, we corrected mistakes—for example, publication dates of books, VIAF links for members—and added missing dates. The two new fields in the events dataset provide the duration of borrowing events in days (when possible) and the source type or types of every subscription and borrowing event: lending library cards, logbooks, address books. To represent events that have multiple sources, we made three fields in the events dataset multivalued: source_citation, source_manifest, source_image. All data is related to the Shakespeare and Company bookshop and lending library opened and operated by Sylvia Beach in Paris, 1919–1962. For version 1.2 of the Shakespeare and Company Project datasets, we made a series of significant additions and refinements. For the members dataset, we added 162 addresses and 126 VIAF numbers; we also decreased the total number of members from 5,601 to 5,235 by matching previously unmatched accounts. For the books dataset, we added two books and 1,957 eBook links. We also reduced the books labeled “uncertain” from 568 to 475. For the events dataset, we added 492 events, including 60 reimbursements from a new logbook source and 300 reimbursements from the address books. We also renamed an event type and subscription category, added three new subscription categories, and fully footnoted all events. In all three datasets, we corrected mistakes and added missing dates.
