W artykule przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia związane z projektem oraz realizacją zadaszenia parkingu rowerowego w Jaworznie. To szerokie studium przypadku zawiera zarówno inspiracje projektowe, jak i ocenę zrealizowanego obiektu. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zagadnienia istotne dla architekta, a zwłaszcza na kształtowanie napiętej membrany. W dostępnej literaturze zagadnienia te są ograniczane do metod obliczeniowych. Natomiast prawidłowe funkcjonowanie zadaszenia musi być powiązane z otoczeniem i zagospodarowaniem.The article presents selected issues related to the design and realization of a roof for a bicycle parking lot in Jaworzno. This extensive case study includes both design inspiration and an evaluation of the completed facility. Particular attention was paid to issues important to the architect, especially the form finding of a tensile membrane. In the available literature, these issues are limited to computational methods. Obecnie projektowanie architektoniczne kieruje się m.in. doktryną zrównoważonego rozwoju. Troska o zmiany klimatyczne zaleca kształtowanie środowiska zbudowanego tak, aby zapewnić najlepsze warunki dla osób przebywających w nim obecnie i w przyszłości. Badania środowiskowe potwierdzają wpływ materiałów budowlanych na mikroklimat przestrzeni zbudowanej i dlatego stanowią inspirację do analizy ich właściwości, a zwłaszcza współczynników odbicia i pochłaniania promieniowania słonecznego. Currently, architectural design is guided, among others, by the doctrine of sustainable development. Fighting epidemic with modular architecture - experiences of 2020

Artykuł przedstawia sposoby, w jakie architektura modułowa odpowiada w 2020 roku na potrzeby służby zdrowia związane z ogólnoświatową epidemią wirusa SARS-CoV-2. Chodzi między innymi o nagłą potrzebę szybkiego zwiększenia przestrzeni potrzebnych do obsługi medycznej chorych. Głównym celem artykułu przeglądowego było sprawdzenie, w jaki sposób tworzone są nowe przestrzenie i jakie posiadają cechy. Wybrano przykłady dotyczące nowych obiektów, a nie adaptacji. Ponieważ we wcześniejszych publikacjach zauważono zalecenia stosowania budownictwa modułowego, poszukiwano, w jaki sposób zostało to zrealizowane. Wybrane przykłady potwierdziły szerokie możliwości: zarówno technologiczne, funkcjonalne, jak i (formalne) estetyczne. Szybka budowa nowych obiektów, a także wyposażenie ich w niezbędne specjalistyczne instalacje pozwoliły na prawidłowe funkcjonowanie z podziałem na odrębne strefy. Zaobserwowano, iż architektura modułowa stanowiła w 2020 roku istotne narzędzie walki z pandemią.The article presents the ways in which the modular architecture responds in 2020 to the needs related to the global SARS-CoV-2 epidemic. It includes sudden demand for proper space to provide medical care to patients. The aim of this review article was to discuss how those places were built and what are the features they have. Examples relating to new facilities, not adaptations, were selected. As in earlier publications a deduction in the use of modular construction was noted, it was searched for how it was implemented. The selected examples confirmed the technological, functional and (formal) aesthetic possibilities. Correct functioning of the new facilities was possible thanks to rapid construction, equipping them in special installations and division into separate zones. It has been observed that modular architecture was a crucial tool to fight pandemic in 2020
