Japan’s economy from boom to bust

    Get PDF
Japan’s economic evolution for the last half of the century provides us with an unique occasion to test alternative theories for growth. This short article makes a review of the main economic events and their causes. It maintains that behind Japan’s slump and deflation was the state policy which encouraged a prior unsound expansion.Japan’s economy, boom, deflation, growth theory

The Use of Multi-Source Feedback as a Human Resource Management Tool

    Get PDF
The article is devoted to the Multiple Source Assessment method as a process of Human Resource Management. Several aspects related to the definition of this method and others concerning its importance, purpose, application and feedback are presented. This method has been used for personal development at the organizational level, and then has begun to be directed to other purposes related of efficiency and performance. The method is considered revolutionary for human resources’ evaluation. It is increasingly used at an international level, with a growing prevalence. Recently, it has also begun to be used in the Romanian companies.multiple source assessment, human resource management, performance

The purpose of this paper is to identify the main opportunities and limitations of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The survey was defined with the aim to involve the highest possible number of relevant CSR topics and give the issue a more wholesome perspective. It provides a basis for further comprehension and deeper analyses of specific CSR areas. The conditions determining the success of CSR in Romania have been defined in the paper on the basis of the previously cumulative knowledge as well as the results of various researches. This paper provides knowledge which may be useful in the programs promoting CSR.Corporate social responsibility, Supportive policies, Romania

Aspecte definitorii privind sistemele de management al calitatii in intreprinderile mici si mijlocii

    Get PDF

New Welding Techology – the Cold Welding on Cogged Surfaces

    Get PDF
Welding by cold pressing on cogged surfaces, produces the joint of a component made from an easy deformable metal by pressing on the cogged surface of a harder metal component. Different welds between aluminium (the easy deformable component) and copper, brass, steel, stainless steel (harder component, cogged on the contact surface) can be obtained. The weld is obtained only by deforming the aluminium component at a deformation rate of 20
30%. The weld tensile strength is up to 10% of aluminium ultimate tensile strength, better results being obtained for the shearing strength. The weld contact electric resistance is negligible, recommending the process for producing dissimilar elements used in electrotechnics

Analytical models for temperature prediction on welding

    Get PDF
Temperature field has an important influence on the phase changes and, finally, on the microstructure and mechanical properties, residual stresses and strains development in the welded joints. During the welding, temperature field shape and its profile depend on many factors but, assuming some assumptions regarding homogeneity and materials isotropy, the mathematical relations for different practical cases can be obtained. Besides, welded bodies can be infinite or semi-infinite as the plates, bars and massive bodies are considered. The instantaneous or permanent thermal sources, fixed or mobile have an important influence on the temperatures distribution. Therefore, the paper presents some analytical solutions for the temperatures prediction in the welded joints in case of the mobile sources with 2D and 3D Gauss distribution

The Partnership between Academic and Business Environment

    Get PDF
AbstractNowadays, the partnership between the economic academic institutions and the business environment is a core key performance indicator (KPI) for assessing the efficiency and accountability. Still, in many cases and for different reasons this partnership does not work well. As various international studies emphasized there is a certain gap between the competences and the skills acquired by the students and the requirements of the employers regarding the educational background of the graduates. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the perception of employers from the Arges County regarding the competences and the skill acquired by the economic students and to identify directions of improvement in teaching and practical training method from this perspective. In order to fulfill the purpose of the study, empirical data were collected in a survey that was conducted in the Arges County in the context of a project financed from European funds. The empirical findings emphasize the existence of a certain gap between the two parties – employers and university, regarding the competences and skills that should be developed in order to increase graduates’ competitiveness and effectiveness

Pricing Strategy in Services -Pricing Strategies in Transport Services

    Get PDF
The paper aims to highlight the main ways in price fixing strategies in general and customized in the field of transport services. Establish strategies and tactics price is a complex process requiring consideration of a multitude of influencing factors and experience a wide variety of options. Pricing strategies are grounded and chosen by taking into consideration the conditions of service offerings, demand, competition, cost and price perception by consumers and the objectives of the firm in the market. There are a great variety of strategies and tactics price for the services sector. This gives companies the freedom to choose the most suitable options in relation to their factors or profile, offer services, marketing objectives, the targeted segment, etc. The most used of price strategies and tactics can be classified according to the novelty of the service provided, and for new services and existing services
