华人华语，合情合理？30年讲华语运动的新加坡华人塑造 = Speak Mandarin campaign : shaping of the Singaporean Chinese

本文旨在探讨新加坡自 1979 年实行的讲华语运动，对于“新加坡华人”进行了哪些方面的塑造。主要通过研究讲华语运动的开幕词内容，以及配合讲华语运动的宣传内容，来发掘这项语言运动如何塑造语群、华人性、国民性，达至一个“新加坡华人”的塑造。 This thesis aims at discussing the notion of moulding of a Singaporean Chinese, which will be argued to be present in the Speak Mandarin Campaign in Singapore. Through examining the campaign speeches, and related contents in other media forms, it will be discussed as to how the campaign defines and appraises, constructs and suppresses language group, Chineseness and national identity of the Singaporean Chinese.　Bachelor of Art
