    Scan to BIM for 3D reconstruction of the papal basilica of saint Francis in Assisi In Italy

    The historical building heritage, present in the most of Italian cities centres, is, as part of the construction sector, a working potential, but unfortunately it requires planning of more complex and problematic interventions. However, policies to support on the existing interventions, together with a growing sensitivity for the recovery of assets, determine the need to implement specific studies and to analyse the specific problems of each site. The purpose of this paper is to illustrate the methodology and the results obtained from integrated laser scanning activity in order to have precious architectural information useful not only from the cultural heritage point of view but also to construct more operative and powerful tools, such as BIM (Building Information Modelling) aimed to the management of this cultural heritage. The Papal Basilica and the Sacred Convent of Saint Francis in Assisi in Italy are, in fact, characterized by unique and complex peculiarities, which require a detailed knowledge of the sites themselves to ensure visitor’s security and safety. For such a project, we have to take in account all the people and personnel normally present in the site, visitors with disabilities and finally the needs for cultural heritage preservation and protection. This aim can be reached using integrated systems and new technologies, such as Internet of Everything (IoE), capable of connecting people, things (smart sensors, devices and actuators; mobile terminals; wearable devices; etc.), data/information/knowledge and processes to reach the desired goals.     The aim of this research is to know whether there is correlation between teacher\u27s perception of the human relations school principal and achievement motivation of kindergarten\u27s teachers at Tampan District of Pekanbaru City. The population of this research is kindergarten\u27 s teachers at Tampan District of Pekanbaru City that consists of 123 teachers, the samples of this research are 55 teachers which taken by using Slovin formula. Method of this research is Pearson Product Moment correlation to know the correlation between Teacher\u27s Perception of the Human Relations School Principal and Achievement Motivation. The technique of collecting data used questioner in Likert scale form. The technique of analyzing data used scale test and statistic analytical by using SPSS program for Windows Ver. 17. Based on hypothesis there is any significant positive correlation between teacher\u27s perception of the human relations school principal and achievement motivation of kindergarten\u27s teachers at Tampan District of Pekanbaru City. It could be seen from the result of correlation coefficient that 0,488 and significant level is 0,01<0,05. The level of correlation between teacher\u27s perception of the human relations school principal and achievement motivation of kindergarten\u27s teachers is in the middle category with the rank of determinant coefficient in the amount 23,8%, it means that teacher\u27s perception of the human relations school principal affect achievement motivation as much as 23,8%

    The Straw Tube Trackers of the PANDA Experiment

    The PANDA experiment will be built at the FAIR facility at Darmstadt (Germany) to perform accurate tests of the strong interaction through bar pp and bar pA annihilation's studies. To track charged particles, two systems consisting of a set of planar, closed-packed, self-supporting straw tube layers are under construction. The PANDA straw tubes will have also unique characteristics in term of material budget and performance. They consist of very thin mylar-aluminized cathodes which are made self-supporting by means of the operation gas-mixture over-pressure. This solution allows to reduce at maximum the weight of the mechanical support frame and hence the detector material budget. The PANDA straw tube central tracker will not only reconstruct charged particle trajectories, but also will help in low momentum (< 1 GeV) particle identification via dE/dx measurements. This is a quite new approach that PANDA tracking group has first tested with detailed Monte Carlo simulations, and then with experimental tests of detector prototypes.     A Cylindrical GEM Inner Tracker for the BESIII experiment at IHEP

    The Beijing Electron Spectrometer III (BESIII) is a multipurpose detector that collects data provided by the collision in the Beijing Electron Positron Collider II (BEPCII), hosted at the Institute of High Energy Physics of Beijing. Since the beginning of its operation, BESIII has collected the world largest sample of J/{\psi} and {\psi}(2s). Due to the increase of the luminosity up to its nominal value of 10^33 cm-2 s-1 and aging effect, the MDC decreases its efficiency in the first layers up to 35% with respect to the value in 2014. Since BESIII has to take data up to 2022 with the chance to continue up to 2027, the Italian collaboration proposed to replace the inner part of the MDC with three independent layers of Cylindrical triple-GEM (CGEM). The CGEM-IT project will deploy several new features and innovation with respect the other current GEM based detector: the {\mu}TPC and analog readout, with time and charge measurements will allow to reach the 130 {\mu}m spatial resolution in 1 T magnetic field requested by the BESIII collaboration. In this proceeding, an update of the status of the project will be presented, with a particular focus on the results with planar and cylindrical prototypes with test beams data. These results are beyond the state of the art for GEM technology in magnetic field

    A model to explain angular distributions of J/ψJ/\psi and ψ(2S)\psi(2S) decays into ΛΛ\Lambda\overline{\Lambda} and Σ0Σ0\Sigma^0\overline{\Sigma}^0

    BESIII data show a particular angular distribution for the decay of the J/ψJ/\psi and ψ(2S)\psi(2S) mesons into the hyperons ΛΛ\Lambda\overline{\Lambda} and Σ0Σ0\Sigma^0\overline{\Sigma}^0. More in details the angular distribution of the decay ψ(2S)Σ0Σ0\psi(2S) \to \Sigma^0\overline{\Sigma}^0 exhibits an opposite trend with respect to that of the other three channels: J/ψΛΛJ/\psi \to \Lambda\overline{\Lambda}, J/ψΣ0Σ0J/\psi \to \Sigma^0\overline{\Sigma}^0 and ψ(2S)ΛΛ\psi(2S) \to \Lambda\overline{\Lambda}.     Deciphering human ribonucleoprotein regulatory networks

    RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) control and coordinate each stage in the life cycle of RNAs. Although in vivo binding sites of RBPs can now be determined genome-wide, most studies typically focused on individual RBPs. Here, we examined a large compendium of 114 high-quality transcriptome-wide in vivo RBP-RNA cross-linking interaction datasets generated by the same protocol in the same cell line and representing 64 distinct RBPs. Comparative analysis of categories of target RNA binding preference, sequence preference, and transcript region specificity was performed, and identified potential posttranscriptional regulatory modules, i.e. specific combinations of RBPs that bind to specific sets of RNAs and targeted regions. These regulatory modules represented functionally related proteins and exhibited distinct differences in RNA metabolism, expression variance, as well as subcellular localization. This integrative investigation of experimental RBP-RNA interaction evidence and RBP regulatory function in a human cell line will be a valuable resource for understanding the complexity of post-transcriptional regulation

    Treatment decision-making of secondary prevention after venous thromboembolism. data from the real-life START2-POST-VTE register

    Patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE) should receive a decision on the duration of anticoagulant treatment (AT) that is often not easy to make. Sixteen Italian clinical centers included patients with recent VTE in the START2-POST-VTE register and reported the decisions taken on duration of AT in each patient and the reasons for them. At the moment of this report, 472 (66.9%) of the 705 patients included in the registry were told to stop AT in 59.3% and to extend it in 40.7% of patients. Anticoagulant treatment lasted ≥3 months in &gt;90% of patients and was extended in patients with proximal deep vein thrombosis because considered at high risk of recurrence or had thrombophilic abnormalities. d-dimer testing, assessment of residual thrombus, and patient preference were also indicated among the criteria influencing the decision. In conclusion, Italian doctors stuck to the minimum 3 months AT after VTE, while the secondary or unprovoked nature of the event was not seen as the prevalent factor influencing AT duration which instead was the result of a complex and multifactorial evaluation of each patient

    Farmers' knowledge and perception of grain legume pests and their management in the Eastern province of Kenya

    Grain legumes play an important role in community livelihood and in the national economy in Kenya. Unfortunately, in many African countries, production doesn't satisfy the demand in grains due to various constrains. Understanding farmers practices and behavior in the management of grain legume pests is a crucial step in the development of sustainable management strategies. A total of 216 farmers were surveyed in eight districts of eastern Kenya to evaluate farmers' knowledge and perceptions of grain legume pests; to examine current pest management practices, and to identify other production constraints. Grain legumes are grown by a wide age-group of farmers, with both genders equally represented. Chemical control remains the main pest management strategy, and, to ensure pesticide effectiveness, farmers also use increased application rates, chemical alternation, frequent application and mixtures of chemicals. While farmers used other control measures, they showed only limited interest in biological control. The majority of the farmers had experience in grain legume farming and were able to identify the major pests, which were the legume flower thrips Megalurothrips sjostedti Trybom, the cowpea aphid Aphis craccivora Koch and the legume pod borer Maruca vitrata Fabricius. Our survey revealed that education and proximity to extension services contributed significantly to farmers' knowledge of grain legume pests, suggesting the need to provide continuous training and capacity building on integrated pest management in grain legume farming. The study also suggests integration of other pest management strategies such as the use of early maturing varieties, biopesticides and biofertilizer to reduce the use of chemical for sustainable pest management
