Neutron-diffraction study of field-induced transitions in the heavy-fermion compound Ce2RhIn8
We present neutron diffraction measurements in high magnetic fields (0 to
14.5 T) and at low temperatures (2.5, 2.3, 0.77 and 0.068 K) on single crystals
of the tetragonal heavy fermion antiferromagnet Ce2RhIn8. For B//[110] the
field dependence of selected magnetic and nuclear reflections reveals that the
material undergoes several transitions, the temperature dependence of which
suggests a complex B-T phase diagram. We present the detailed evolution of the
integrated intensities of selected reflections and discuss the associated
field-induced transitions.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figures Proceeding Euro-conference "Properties of

Small angle neutron scattering studies of hard magnetic Nd60Fe30 xCoxAl10 bulk amourphous alloys
Bulk cylinders of Nd60Fe30 amp; 8722;xCoxAl10Nd60Fe30 amp; 8722;xCoxAl10 obtained by slow cooling from the melt have been studied by SANS using polarized neutrons. Two Curie temperature have been found at Tc1 50Tc1 50 amp; 8201;K and Tc2 500Tc2 500 amp; 8201;K revealing the presence of two magnetic phases. The sample exhibits a partially crystalline structure which leads to large coercivity of the alloy. Measurements have been performed at temperatures between 2 and 550 amp; 8201;K with an applied magnetic field up to 6 amp; 8201;T. Nanosized Nd nanoparticles in the Fe rich part of the alloy have been identified acting as pinning centres, which prevent the full alignment of ferromagnetic domains even in high magnetic fiel
